Thinking of watching an older Pauly Shore movie tonight, something to turn my brain off for 90 minutes.

Jury Duty sounds good. "What did you do? What did you do? EVERYTHING!"
 
Please stop making movies glorifying gangsters. They are losers who prey on vulnerable people. They have no honor and are cowardly scum. They might as well be Republicans.

I do like that scene (mainly cause the actor nails it) but honestly I preferred the scenes with the Merovingian and the Keymaker. The fight scene in that house was sweet and the Merovingian was just cool hell! (and Monica Belluci was not so bad either) I also liked the head of the Council of Zion...he was kind of a cool character who many thought was the previous version of The One. (cause they select people to join them in the new updated Matrix)

The Oracle is way better in The Matrix than in Reloaded.

I forgot about all the blood lol. My wife wasn't thrilled about those parts. Oops.

Anyways, such a good movie.

I mean……we have movies glorifying the cia, fbi, military…how is this different honestly? All 3 of the aforementioned have committed horrible atrocities with significantly higher body counts.

i hear you though. I’ve read Nicholas Pileggi’s books that inspired Casino and Goodfellas, Donnie Brasco based on Joseph Pistone, 2 books on Whitey “Bulgah”, 5 families Selwyn Raab, Michael Franzese book etc. the reality is the mob guys are vermin scum.

But sopranos is a fictional family and it’s got incredible writing and acting imo.

….side note: When I read Donnie brasco it scared the hell out of me. It was omitted from the movie but Pistone came to Milwaukee in an attempt to set-up Frank Balistreiri. I lived in the neighborhood where a lot of the activity in these chapters took place. Balistreiri actually admitted he was set to kill Pistone/brasco because he thought he was a fed. A seriously eye opening book.
 
Just watched ID4 for the first time in years. As cheesy as it is, still a good summer blockbuster flic. The special effects hold up surprisingly well, too.
 
New Mortal Kombat movie wasn't bad for what it was. In some respects better than the original; I'm not familiar with the lore overall so not sure how much was made up for the movie. But it had its moments, even if there was no subtlety whatsoever.
 
Triple post: how did I just now realize the main villain in Die Hard 2 is the guy who played Heywood in Shawshank? Also Die Hard 2 has my alltime favorite TV dub: Yippie kai yay, Mr. Falcon.

William Sadler is a guy that'll do that to you. Just shows up in a movie you've seen ten times but don't remember him being in.

That was intense. The lead actress should have won every award on the planet. Very difficult to watch in parts; excellent drama.

Also, I saw John Wick 3. Man, that was dumb. They are, somehow, getting worse. JW1 is awesome, solid A. JW2 is meh, B. JW3 is just not that interesting. C. This is not a good trajectory, John.
