From what I've heard and read, those that have seen the evidence say that MLB has enough on Rodriguez to nail his balls to the wall. Apparently he did this over several years, he implored others to go to Biogenesis, coerced witnesses during the investigation, and he tried to buy (and destroy) evidence that he was ever involved with this company.

If he did all that, he might still be getting off lightly here. I suspect that there's a reason everyone else took their 50-game suspensions reasonably quietly.

Correction: the fans would love him and likely the players too, but some of the current owners HATE him. The staunch old guard hates new money people, especially HOW some of these people have earned their money. People like Cuban or Don Levin, who have no problem throwing sacks of cash around are continually shunned by the big leagues.

Yet, frauds like Boots Del Biaggio get repeat invites to own teams.

Frustrating when people who are passionate about sports teams and WANT to own are continually turned away.

The victim was his girlfriend, and he had just been released after being arrested for beating her. I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but the article I saw had a picture of him, and I have to say that he looks exactly like the kind of guy who would beat up his girlfriend.

ARod (AKA ARat)'s associates apparently gave Biogenesis data on Braun and Cervelli to MLB Investigators. He may want to take the suspension and go into WitSec.

I wonder if they are piping in cheers to the Yankees radio broadcast whenever A-Rat comes up. They're not booing, Susan, they're saying, "We like balllloooooons"
