Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

They want the ratings, so they broadcast Yanks, Sox and Phillies, with occasional stops in Chicago, St. Louis and LA. A game between the Twins and Royals just isn't going to pull the same number. I'd like the Sox not to be on Fox or the ESPN Sunday game because that's one less game NESN gets to broadcast and I like listening to Don and Jerry...Tim McCarver and the ESPN guys, not so much.
Look at the bright side. At least the "ESPN guys" no longer include Joe Morgan:D.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

What annoys me is when the same series is on all the national telecasts over a weekend. MLB on Friday, Fox on Saturday, TBS/ESPN on Sunday - that's happened with the Yankees and the Red Sox before.

Well to be fair, FOX does regionalize their coverage... They usually have 3 games or so to pick from...

To be fair, thats even more annoying when you're a fan of an out of market team...that team is on fox, but not in your local area...you can't watch that game on mlb.tv or extra innings even if you paid money. I'm pretty sure ESPN has a limit like was discussed earlier...the problem is Sunday Night Baseball has a limit, not ESPN Baseball as a whole...

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

i took care of linecum's no hitter... turned it on and one out.. then one hit! :D

extra innings should allow us to watch the other fox games if we don't want to see the one forced upon our market. we'll still be watching their broadcast and their commercials. just stupid....

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

Since leagues are taking over beleaguered franchises, can we have the NFL take over a team in Western New York that has moronic ownership and an uncertain future? :D

Why would the NFL want the Sabres?

Anibel Sanchez has a special performance going into the 9th.

Edit: That was quick.

Games I think have a chance to be in the top 3 (1961-2011):

At least one of these two will be in the list.

Braves vs Twins, Gm 6 1991 WS (Puckett HR + Catch)
Braves vs Twins, Gm 7 1991 WS (Jack Morris, 10 innings)

And one of them will be the Bill Buckner game from the 86 WS. :(
