Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

The new kickoff rules don't seem to bother Hester. 14-0 Chicago.

Anyone got a Cubs score? all the usual scoreboards are blocked at work, and I need to know if they've been mathematically eliminated yet.

Lost 6-3.
Walker hit a grand slam in the 5th ( I think) to make it 4-2. Then mccutchen hit a two run shot to bump to 6-2. Next inning or so. Cubs added a run later.

Defense optional in the Cleveland/Chicago game again. 5-3 Chicago and the 2nd inning isn't over yet.

Carasco had a 1-2-3 inning in the 3rd for Cleveland. So maybe he will settle in now. I just happened to watch that half inning on tv.

The Mets aren't laughing.

Other than the fact that Bobby Valentine seems to occasionally channel Fat Tony during the game, I like the new crew on Sunday Night Baseball. I've always like Orel Hershiser, and Schulman is a solid baseball announcer.

Re: MLB 2011 Part 1

The Red Sox have been quite productive this offseason, getting both Gonzalez and Crawford. I am pumped for the season, the potential is through the rough. The bullpen scares me a bit, but if our rotation stays healthy we shouldn't need to worry about that too much.

It's early but our rotation just got reamed by Texas over the weekend. Let's see how it goes during the first month.

Going to Yanks games Tues and Weds the next two weeks, with more probably later next week. Gotta love being a student in the NYC area!

The Fish's new stadium opens next year I think. So they will sell out soon. :)

The Yankees game last night was pretty sparse in the late innings.
