I got caught in a cloudburst a few hours ago.

2.6 inches of rain fell in a very short period of time in little Canada and maplewood.

Last time I had one we got 4-5" in under an hour. It had completely flooded my backyard beyond the normal stream that collects from the neighborhood. It was actually quite frightening as I watched it get closer to the foundation.

The streets completely flooded, there were "wakes" forming from the cracks in the curbs where the water was flowing. Came up 4+ inches off the pavement.

Just after 4pm, we were hit with the same down here. The rain will not let us be this summer.

Take a look at this. This is crazy. That's not rain that's on the far east side of the metro. That's dust being blown up by the storm.

Round 2 is building out west, but it looks like wit might go a bit north of us. It’s tough to say - the route looks ENE in direction, but it also looked like the size was growing along its southern end.
