Minnesota Women's Hockey Off-Season 2015: #BASK

Re: Minnesota Women's Hockey Off-Season 2015: #BASK

brooky, don't waste your time.

too late for that

Brooky was the one that started blathering about non-hockey related issues with respect to the link Old Dave posted, and it seems you want the last word, so let’s hear it. But keep it about hockey. If you can’t, wait a couple days till it passes. How does the Teague administration fall short compared to Maturi as it pertains to the hockey team?

Yeah...pokey's a stickler for staying on topic. Like opining that a woman who contributes generously to Gopher athletics should S T F U because she inherited money from "daddy."

At no time was I referring strictly to hockey per thoughts related to the article in question as the article itself was not specific to hockey. To be more accurate despite pokey's purposeful misrepresentation made simply in his interest of calling people names like bonehead, stupid, etc., I responded to the content of the article someone else linked in the thread.

I do not agree with pokey's assessment of Maturi. Opinions contrary to pokey's seem to boil his blood a little. Or maybe they excite him for his opportunity to level his very high road, mature insults so evidentiary of a well adjusted adult. A guy who grants himself the privilege of dispensing his toxicity publicly in the forum...but thinks others should respond privately. A standard quite magnanimous in his own behalf it would seem.

Brooky, Pokey has provided us all with the key to an appropriate response to Pokey posts:
. . . obviously they are, otherwise you wouldn't be conversing with me
DNF. Without strife trolls retreat back under their bridge

FWIW, I liked your use of the word "cotton" as a verb in an earlier post.

you keep trying to put words in my mouth, she can mouth off as she likes (as can you) I don’t care what she says as long as she keeps forking over the checks to the U, only because somebody has to feed the monster, better her than me. I just think it is ironic where her money comes from and that it is funny that she thinks she can influence what goes on over there.

I’ve never sent anyone email or user notification, you on the other hand have sent them numerous times to me, again calling me names and in general going psycho

And with respect to “blood boil” I believe yours must be because you now call yourself The bearded “women” (I think your intent was woman, but your anger got in the way of clear thinking) although you do seem to be suffering from multiple personality disorder, so maybe it is "women".

Better head on back and review one of your clever reasons for edit pokey.

The statement that she became a qoalie because she was too slow as a D reminded me of a question I had when others here were trying out line combos for fun. Is Williamson the fastest incoming player? I was thinking it might be interesting to put another fast skater with Piazza and Schipper and see if other teams have anyone who can keep up. And count me in the group that wants to keep the Brandt line together. That threesome scored more goals than 15 D1 teams, IIRC.

Re: Minnesota Women's Hockey Off-Season 2015: #BASK

I saw this link posted by Iceburg on the women's recruiting thread on GPL which shows Amy Potomak (Sarah's younger sister) committed to Minnesota. He mentions that he has not seen any other information on this and I haven't either. Does anyone have any information to confirm this? Here is the link:

Appears a credible source. Mighty good news if in fact it proves true.

In a story about this years recruits UND claims they are working on her and Jincy Dunn's sister but thats all I ever saw on commitments.

Probably because I'm missing the in-season poster poll and work is like a ghost town this afternoon with the holiday coming up, here is a top ten list of teams with the most wins the last 4 years.
(Ranked by wins with their full record)

1. Minn - 147 - 10 - 7
2. BC - 113 - 26 - 11
3. Wis - 113 - 30 - 10
4. Clark - 105 - 36 - 13
5. Cor - 100 - 28 - 8
6. BU - 100 - 42 - 8
7. Mer - 99 - 33 - 11
8. Harv - 96 - 29 - 11
9. UND - 90 - 48 - 11
10. Quinn - 87 - 43 - 18

Minnesota with 34 more wins than number 2 whereas the gap between 2 and 10 is 26 wins.

Exhibition game against the Whitecaps was on GWH homepage under Calendar of Events for Sun Sept 27 a few days ago. It's not there any more, with the first home series against St Cloud having been added.
