Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

Yes, I know. They said "work week." And as MNS pointed out, people are still working on Friday nights. Therefore, the work has not ended. Pretty clear, if you ask me. :p

Merriam Frickin' Webster said:
the end of the week; specifically : the period between the close of one work or school week and the start of the next

These are college hockey names, right?

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

We'll take the 2pts on the road. Nice win tonight.

Sounds like Hoeffel will be fine which is great news. We don't need to lose anymore goal scorers.

Yes, but school weeks are not the only part of the definition. So therefore, Friday evening is still during the week. It's pretty simple.

I have made my point, and intelligent (read UW grads) readers can make their own decision.

Oh, it seems Sconnie's goalie tonight is just a big a sieve as Kangas is. Will wonders never cease?

They can realize that Friday is called a weekday. DAY. Not END.

Black and white.

:p

Even a SIOUX fan agrees with me. Granted, it's MNS, but still. ;)

Informal survey of the people here: Friday when work is done. The majority finish work before Friday 7pm.

You (and the Sioux fan, not very surprising) are wrong. I am right. Eat some crow and get a good night sleep.

Friday doesn't end at 5pm when "most" people get done with work. Friday ends at midnight. I question whether you even understand the concept of "time." Well, I shouldn't be surprised, given what state you are from. ;)

The Gophers did not lose this weekend. They might next weekend (given that it's a Sat/Sun series) but I sure hope not.

don't bring Sioux fans into this stupid argument....we are busy basking in the glow of a road sweep;)

Amazingly, I'm saying that a SIOUX fan is smarter than a Sconni. And you know me and Sioux fans. ;)

I know when Friday ends. I am not arguing that point. You are ignoring the facts. The weekend begins before Friday ends. Everyone except for you acknowledges that fact.

The Rodents will lose next weekend. You can write it down.

Friday is described the same way as Monday. A weekDAY. DAY. Come on, you can say it: DAY. Not END.

And if I had a fancy schmancy webcam, or uploading capability, I would write it down. Especially because it would be on a weekEND. Not day. END.

Wow. It's like running my head into a wall, only more painful.

Don't care either way who wins the "fight" between you and Brenthoven, but your sources are ridiculous. Wikipedia and yahoo answers? Really? How do you know all of those replying aren't Badgers fans answering that question?

And I don't need to write it down when it's conveniently posted right here for me to refer back to. ;)

Re: Minnesota @ Wisconsin.. the greatest rivalry in college hockey.

We'll take the split. Wasn't too impressed with Wisconsin's defense tonight though, I guess they're overrated or something. ;)

who said they were the greatest ever?

You are doing it to yourself. Friday is a weekday. I agree with you. If you read my posts, you will see that I am not arguing that point. You must know that you are wrong since you are ignoring what I am saying. Friday night is the weekend. End of story.

By your definition Saturday is a weekday, since it ends in D-A-Y.

So a magic clock strikes at 5 pm, to end the work week, despite the fact that many still are working, and it changes to a weekend? This ain't Cinderella of the college hockey world. Friday ends at midnight. Not at 5pm. "There's no Friday A and Friday B (dumbarse) (c) MNS"

I made a correct prediction, and you're trying to find a chink in my armor. It won't work. :p

Edit: and show me a person that calls Saturday a "weekday." Yeah, thought so. BOX BOX BOX.

At least I have sources....I mean besides a drunk Rodent fan.

I'm not drunk. And frankly, the dictionary says "work week" (from your source) which includes Friday night, since Friday night is part of the 24 hour cycle that is called Friday. Since people have regular schedules that include Friday night, that is part of the work week, a work week that must end before the weekend starts (again, that's according to your definition). So.....BOX. BOX. BOX.

This is fun. :D

You know what? People still work on Saturday and Sunday. There is no weekend. The Badgers have never lost a game on a weekend. We are undefeated. There is no magic time.

Dude...Friday does end at midnight. I agree. You tell me when the weekend does start if it isn't Friday at 5pm, or go to bed.

Wow, you just proved me right.

"There is no weekend." Cool. I'm right.

The weekend starts at 12am Saturday at 0000 hours (aka midnight on "Friday"). Since the game ended before "midnight Friday" it is not the weekend. BOX. BOX. BOX. :D
