"Man that ball got outta here in a hurry. I mean anything travels that far oughta have a **** stewardess on it, don't you think?"
-Crash Davis

Jake Taylor: That ball wouldn't have been out of a lot of parks.
Rick Vaughn: Name one.
Jake Taylor: Yellowstone?

Ok whether it is the player deciding on their own or Ulger is telling them to do it, this team cannot accurately judge how deep a ball needs to be to score from third. It is so predictable it is laughable.

edit: He was never tagged...someone give the ump some contacts...

Although this time he was safe. ;)

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Yeah but the ball beat him...true the catcher missed him but the ump called him out because he was nailed. I mean the catcher had time to switch his feet to try and block the plate.

Twins win...too bad it doesnt matter since we all know the White Sux are unstoppable. :D

With two out, that was the right play. If the CF makes a perfect throw and gets him, so be it. And like Hoven says, he was safe.

They aren't unstoppable, but they are playing very well. Big difference between them being unstoppable and making BS claims that they'll lose 2 to Detroit based on nothing.

Handy, wth are you talking about? I think I've seen one post here that mentions the Twins will get caught.

My lord you are a wet blanket...try and have fun for once in your life :D

And I disagree, that ball was not deep enough and the Twins get nailed at home more often than a house whore :p

I doubt any of us would be surprised if the Sux lost 2/3 to Detroit.
On second glance, Chicago and Detroit play a 4-game series this week.

Twins going into crush mode. Holy hannah.

Yes they are I do believe...

7-0...wowzers!

BTW Delmonzy with 95 RBIs so far this year...not too shabby!

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I'm enjoying listening to the White Sox broadcast on pc as they update the score for the Twins. :D

Also watching the Twins on tv.

Added bonus, no Hawk tonight.

Killing time before the GPL FFL draft. :D

Looks like I don't have to pay TOO much attention to the game anymore.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I'd rule that a 3 base error. That OF could have caught that ball had he taken a normal route to it and just gone back to the *'ing warning track.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Manny hit in the wrist (2nd time HBP in game, neither intentional) and taken out of the game in the 8th. Looked pretty painful.

So he got Kubel'd.

To repeat: KC's pitching is horrible.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Delmonzy with another extra base hit and two more RBIs

Hopefully this is a sign of a return to ealier season form, although I do realize it's KC.

And go you know what regarding the wet blanket comment Mr. Ihavenomirrorsinmyhouse. :D
