Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Only 4 behind New York for home field. Obviously there is still a division to win, but if they keep up this torrid pace, it's certainely possible. Incredibly impressive considering we were going nowhere at the ASB.

Even if the Twins somehow win home field, they still have to play Tampa since NY and Tampa cannot play eachother because they are in the same division which I think is a load of crap. I'd much rather have the Twins play Texas in the first round. But just need to focus on wining the division at this point and worry about the rest later. I just think the Twins would get screwed by having to play one of the AL east teams instead of the "worst" of the playoff teams if they had home field.

Meh. I honestly think that the seeding should go off of record anyways. In which case we would still end up playing Tampa if the season ended today. It would just be there for three out of five instead of here.

What are they talking about? He hit the cut off man right in the chest!

The top of the 9th has been an abortion and then some.

Oh, and defensive indifference is retarded.

Finally, they win. Crimony.

I called it when Capps was warming up. "We are going to win 4-3."

Not a hard call to make, obviously. Would have made the same one with Rauch.

Capps is a giant turd.

I'd rather have Rausch...And I wasn't a big fan of his. Capps is going to get rocked in the playoffs. Big difference closing games for the Nationals and closing games against the Yankees. Ask Rausch...He's a former Nationals closer.

The White Sox lost (that is 2 out of 3 so far for those keeping score just like I said) and the Twins won. I am not going to complain even though Capps clearly has no idea how to get a 3rd out in the 9th inning :p

I'm happy to be wrong in this case. I never thought Bonderman would pitch that effectivelly. If Chicago can't sweep KC w/o Butler and not having to face Greinke, then the Mighty Whiteys must be mailing it in.

Capps is Ron Davis with better luck.... LOL.
Capps took the mound w/o giving up a tater. Right there he is superior to R.D.

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

Since we have demeaning nicknames for everyone else, how about Capps is now "Crapps?"

Re: Minnesota Twins 2010: Part IV - Thome's Quest for 600

I call him Kenny Powers because he is chunky, wears number 55, and has a dead ball. All that is missing is the permullet.

The Twins hit the road with a 6 game lead thanks to the Tigers 6-3 win today.
