Minnesota Gophers Off Season thread - 2016

Re: Minnesota Gophers Off Season thread - 2016

Does anyone have a link to an article on Minnesotans taken in the draft? Seems like that is usually a next day automatic article in Cities papers, but couldn't find one.

Never mind...

MINNESOTANS DRAFTED

Eleven Minnesotans were drafted this weekend.

They were: Kieffer Bellows of Edina, No. 19 to the New York Islanders; Riley Tufte of Blaine, No. 25 to the Dallas Stars; Ryan Lindgren of Burnsville, No. 49 to the Boston Bruins; Joey Anderson, of Roseville, No. 73 to the New Jersey Devils; Rem Pitlick of Plymouth, No. 76 to the Nashville Predators; Max Zimmer of Medina, No. 104 to the Carolina Hurricanes; Casey Staum of Falcon Heights, No. 124 to the Montreal Canadiens; Mitchell Mattson of Grand Rapids, No. 126 to the Calgary Flames; Jack Walker of Edina, No. 152 to the Toronto Maple Leafs; Peter Thome of Minneapolis, No. 155 to the Columbus Blue Jackets; and Blake Hillman of Elk River, No. 173 to the Chicago Blackhawks.

Except classic games, non conference games look like they're going for between $50 and $90. Sneaking suspicion that Notre Dame will not fetch that and attendance will be near the bottom of the list.

Thanks,
Wendy was a pretty great governor and an even better person.

I'm sure goofer fans will be blown away to see mariucci full for once... well that and a quality hockey team.

What we really miss is the escaping from cop cars, ****ing in elevators, freezing toes off, team captain getting a DUI, lawn mower tossing, a team of overage Canadians and just being hostile and abusive. Did I miss any?

Per Twitter Lucia has been offered a 2-year extension not yet signed - no $ details on the offer.

National Championships.

Far be it from me to defend the UNDies but they did have 18 Americans, 7 Canadians a Finn and a Slovak so I'd say they did it with Americans just fine.
I need to go wash now.

Allow me to use UND's argument against them: 2 > 1.

Just saying.

anybody can win with a bunch of Canadians. try to do it with some Americans for once.

I love how the goof always seem to have a couple of scandinavians and wisconsonites... I know how it's a kick in the berries to guys like happy that their beloved goofs can't all be from minnesota. :D

If anybody can then maybe it's time for tDon to look north of the border. Again they could all come from Russia just as long as they put a good product on the ice and I would say they have done just that the last 15 years.
