I have to strongly disagree with you here, SteveO. You can certainly fault him for the 4th goal, when he failed to fully cover the post on the wrap-around, and maybe the 3rd goal (on which he appeared to be screened by his own D) but the number of huge saves he made (too many to count) in this and most every game he's played have bailed this team out, time and time again. Once again in last night's game the final score was a lot closer than what actually transpired on the ice.IMHO Robson appears to have lost his edge. The Gophers are 2-8 when opponents score 4 or more GAs. Last night was 5th game in a row and the 8th time this season Mat Robson has allowed 4 GAs. Including his 3 straight 4 GAs vs PSU at the end of last season, he now has 11 over 24 games. If he has one more game of 4 or more GAs this season he will tie Alex Kangas (2009-10) with 9.
All schools count and announce their game attendance by the number of tickets sold, so the U's not different in that respect. What makes the Gophers' announced attendance somewhat unique is that the numbers are larger than most, and the number of no-shows is larger than anywhere else. The other factor that makes the disparity that much larger is the size (capacity) of the arena, which makes all the empty seats that much more noticeable.I really do not see what is accomplished by bold faced lying to the media by the athletic department -
The lying about attendance needs to stop --

And I can't recall any Gopher team in recent years that was this bad defensively. I think Robson is the least of this team's problems.I can't recall any Gopher netminder in recent years that has allowed a streak of 4 GA in 5 consecutive games.

And Tyler Sheehy, wow, is he on a roll, so good to see.First goal against by Robson was kinda weak but the other two weren’t his fault. He totally made up for it on the prolonged PP (5 min PP with 2 mins of 5v3). Also some of those rebound sequence saves where he improbably kept the puck out of the net were incredible.
Sheehy was terrific, great energy and great skill. The question remains, can they put together a string of these high energy/high skill games? I still have my doubts, but tonight's effort gives me renewed hope that it's still possible.Apparently tBob chewed the ever-living sh* out of the team today. Sheehy said, paraphrased, "Yeah, we needed that."
Good sign that things are different, and better sign that some are owning up to it.
We're splitting vs mediocre B1G teams that have bad goalies at home, so yeah, your doubts are warranted.Sheehy was terrific, great energy and great skill.
