CrazyDave got some face time on the broadcast of yesterday's game.
I ran into CrazyDave at the semifinal game on Saturday! And, according to my wife and daughter, who were watching on TV, I also was pictured on the tube during the final seconds of the Gopher's win today over North Dakota.
Question: has any school every won NCAA championships in both mens and womens in the same year? Now that would be quite an accomplishment...
Wisconsin did in the 2005-2006 season.
With a Burish on each team, and I think the sister/brother combination will not be duplicated any time soon.Wisconsin did in the 2005-2006 season.
Of the six signed, I've only seen the three MN HS products. Both of the D are tall and athletic, and have U-18 international experience. Stecklein is more of a stay-at-home D; McMillen can make an impact all over the ice, but may need to make more of an adjustment to the next level, coming from a smaller school and having been used in a far different fashion in HS than she will be in college. Hannah Brandt is special; how quickly she can make an impact will go a long way to determining how good the Gophs can be next season. So any special insights on next year's incoming freshwomen?
I cannot wait to see Brandt play collegiate.... except for the fact that it will probably be against the Bulldogs. DOH!
I noticed Anderson took all of the shifts on the Schoullis-Kessel line beginning about the middle of the 2nd.
Defensive adjustment? or did Bona get some sort of ding that I didn't see?
From informal conversations, my assumption is the former. Anderson brought both speed and fresh legs and was everywhere after being inserted. Once we get to March, just about everybody is dinged to some extent, so that could easily play a factor, but I thought Bona had a least one shift after Anderson started playing.Defensive adjustment? or did Bona get some sort of ding that I didn't see?
. Have to be a WCHA TEAM BECAUSE no other womens team has wonI ran into CrazyDave at the semifinal game on Saturday! And, according to my wife and daughter, who were watching on TV, I also was pictured on the tube during the final seconds of the Gopher's win today over North Dakota.

I reread what I posted previously and have something I want to add. I dragged it off that other thread over here because it is not something that the entire forum is probably interested in. This is a comment about a specifically Ridder Arena issue. My section is usually filled with (younger girls teams) and a lot of the girls are barely paying attention to the game at all. They're running around from seat to eat, talking with their friends, bugging their parents about getting something to eat, going and getting something to eat, goofing around with Goldy, and all sorts of other things that don't involve watching hockey.
I love Goldy.
