Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey III

Not that I know, but as a sophomore, it wouldn't be unusual to still be uncommitted.
Was trying to track down the '16-'17 list. Has that started yet? :)

Enjoying the Winny and Krissy commentary.

For now....I know freshman girls getting offers from top hockey schools/programs. It is getting earlier and earlier....

Okay...my dislike of EP goes back a ways so...Let's Go Pioneers!

Very exciting, entertaining games in the semifinal round. Looked like crowds were smallish for your typical metro team match-ups. Guess local driving conditions may have hurt attendance at the X and Ridder?

The roads are about as bad as they were after the Halloween Blizzard in 1991. To make it worse, drivers who don't dare drive faster than 30 mph still decide to get into the left-most freeway lane to crawl along.

Over the last couple of years we've had an inordinate number of storms that dump a lot of snow starting at temperatures above freezing followed by the temp immediately plunging 20-30 degrees. That puts a layer of ice under the snow that's really difficult to get rid of.

Went to the games tonight, and it took about 70 minutes both ways to drive 18 miles. At least my favorite team won, so maybe it was worth it.

In the past, that has been particularly true of the first storm of the season, because there isn't any salt down on the road and the ice adheres to the pavement. Given that it felt like I've been driving on the Bonneville Salt Flats for the past few months, I was surprised that it stuck so hard this week.

I made the drive over for the evening session last night....BIG MISTAKE! Never saw so many flashing lights and tow trucks in a 18 mile stretch, that took over an hour each way. This evening I will be watching from the couch!

The western arm of The Perfect Storm.

Nice watching in HD. Kudos to 45tv and the MSHSL.
Blake looking a step or two slower than vs. Red Wing. Maybe emptied the tank a little. Conversely EGF looking better than I thought they did yesterday.

I see it was Lund with injury behind the bench. One of the Bears top guns and quite a player as I recall from previous tournament. I'm told another key player is out with concussion. Sorry...more familiar with east metro teams.

Looks like EGF is paying very close attention to Bullock. Nice goal for Blake.

Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey III

Private schools one for one today as Blake scores three in a row to win in 1A. No surprise there.

No surprise? Thought it was a great game with an exciting finish that was in doubt 'til the horn sounded. Could be you know better than me though I suppose.

Sure, anything's possible I guess.

I meant before they even start the deck's pretty well stacked in favor of an all-star, private school team from a large metro area with open enrollment vs a tiny public school from the sticks. :)

Re: Minnesota Girls High School Hockey III

Hill Murray wrestles the Championship Belt from the clutches of the West Metro and returns it to it's rightful location in the East Metro!

:D

See that grin there...appropriately GREEN.

:p
