If the Lakers are for real, they must get 3/4 points out of Robert Morris. If they don't, then they'll probably struggle mightily against the Spartans next weekend.

Sounds like there will be no pre-game show this evening due to the women's basketball game, although they still might have a shortened version of the show once the women's game is over.

Its on their main station YES FM.

Oh, and I forgot to mention I'm a MAC user. Apparently we cannot listen to any of the streaming due to the PC exclusive format available. Oh well, Go Lakers! I guess I will be able to read the final score in the paper tomorrow....

Did you try downloading WinAmp from the YesFM website? There is a WinAmp download link under the Lakers Live logo. You need WinAmp to pick up the broadcast.

Another one of those switcharoos huh. Was there any news of interest?

I listened to the last part of the basketball game. The women lost by 2 at Saginaw Valley. Disappointing considering they beat them easily at home.

Lakers win 7-6! Whew!! Ugly 3rd period, but a win is a win. That's five in a row now and we are 7-1-2 in our last 10 games. Let's hope the goaltending and D is better tomorrow.

The fun thing about that though (something others have already done)... is that if you quote it before he deletes it and change it to say something totally different...there is no proof that Truth didnt say it...ha!

The most important thing is they got the W, but aside from that the whole team, coaches included, can't be too happy. Giving up 6 goals and 43 shots is pretty bad. Sounds like it was a combination of neither very good D nor decent goaltending. Kind of hard to tell about the goaltending though since VanWagoner usually doesn't tend to say whether or not goals are soft.

On a good note for the Lakers, Kellan Lain finally resumed playing for Oakville tonight and has 2 goals and an assist late in their game with Bramalea.

Edit: The Oakville game is now over and Lain picked up a second assist to make it a 4 point night. (It should be noted however that Bramalea isn't that good of a team.)

Well, maybe we can blame it on too much holiday goodies but hey a win is indeed a win!

But if Saint Frank Anzalone was still here, not only would the Lakers go 14-0 the rest of the way, they would also stumble upon a cure for cancer during practice.

Meanwhile, Saint Frank is mired at the bottom of the IHL (yes, it still exists), with a stellar 10-14-4 record. Perhaps more time coaching, and less time constructing letters to local newspapers about how unfairly he was treated in the Soo would benefit Saint Frank.
