Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Your music sucks.

But my music allows me to sit around one of my three pools in my Hollywood Hills mansion, while you prepare for work and ready yourself to ask that age-old question multiple times per hour: "Would you like that super-sized?"

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

I didn't go to Lake State. You've obviously got me confused with one of them.

Don't be too hard on yourself. A solid, eight-year community college experience has you ripe for an amazingly successful post-high school career.

Go get 'em, tiger!!

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Sounds like a bad night for the Lakers. I think I heard the play-by-play cheer captain cry during a couple of the Michigan State goals tonight.

Actually, the Lakers are playing the Spartans pretty evenly, so it's a bad night for you, Squid. You sure do listen to that radio guy a lot. You must really love him.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Played a good game but still got the loss. MacVoy and Cassiani need to start scoring.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Tough loss for the Lakers tonight. From the broadcast it sounds like they started a little tenative and hung in there but could not get that big goal to tie it when they had a couple of chances. Hopefully win tomorrow and get a split which won't be that bad.

I was unable to see the game but the radio guy seemed to say quite often the Lakers got the short end of the calls. For those that watched the game were the refs that bad and the Lakers get jobbed, or was being a homer?

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

The calls were a little in states favor but not that bad after all it is ccha refs were talking about. I think every team can probably say their team got the short end of the stick on most nights.

The Lakers played well but the Spartans are one heck of a team. The big guys on the Lakers have to step up not that anyone played poorly or anything but they need to will their way in big matches like this weekend.

LETS GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

I went to the game and will try to post more in depth comments tomorrow. For now I'll just say that I thought John Scrymgeour was the best player on the ice tonight for either team.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Beemers excelent save was the number 2 play on the sports center top 10 plays of the day. Way to go Beemer.

That is kind of what I thought by going only off of the radio broadcast. VanWagonor made it sound like the Lakers got jobbed on almost every call and went on and on about it. I am starting to get used to, but not very happy with, his style and only getting half the story when he calls a game. He is a homer, there is no doubt, but again my opinion and probably what Lake State wanted. Hopefully he will improve and maybe not use we and us so much, and not so over the top on Laker goals and have a pulse for the other teams's goals. Just a tad more professional. My two cents as it seems to get a lot of discussion on here.

I look forward to your recap Bill and lets hope the Lakers grab a split tonight and then a couple of home series before more road games in February. Good luck tonight Lakers!

That is the way most of the people i know feel about the new guy so your not alone in your opinion Foghorn. I guess you don't know what you have till it's gone meaning Bill Crawford.

I agree. With a 2nd-place nod to our guy Gazley.

Re: Laker Hockey 2009-10

Kudos to Beamer for making ESPN's top plays of the week. I saw the save and it was awesome! That being said, however, it was a tough loss for the Lakers. We should have beat them ... hopefully tonight. Last night's game did show, however, that the Spartans ARE beatable. GO LAKERS!

(I also thought Scrymgeour was outstanding.)
