What's really sad and ironic is the Mexican drug cartels have the border more secure then the US government does. No one leaves Mexico as an illegal immigrant without paying off the cartels, but once on the US side odds are you'll go unnoticed to the border patrol because they are stretched so thin they catch only a small minority of those crossing illegally.

You may be onto something. Maybe we could convert the drug cartels to more legitimate employment and pay them all handsomely to keep our side of the border secure. Somehow I think they'd do a better job than Obama and Napolitano.

A well trained monkey would do a better job of securing our borders then Obama and Napolitano. Which makes it quite obvious that Obama has no intention whatsoever of actually securing anything.

Lamar Smith and I probably don't agree on a ton of things, but I'll give him the credit of taking him seriously.

And I could even respect the argument. Until this howler.
If the Obama administration really wants to address drug-related violence along the U.S.-Mexico border, it needs to cut off the cash crop for Mexican drug cartels. That means enforcing all federal drug laws—including those that outlaw marijuana.

Maybe we can get a well-trained monkey on the ballot in 2012?

Napolitano is especially ridiculous. She was just in San Diego and claimed that our southern border is more secure than it ever has been. At least Obama is more careful with what he says on the issue, even if he's on the same page as Napolitano. If she ever comes back to Arizona (which I doubt she'd have the nerve to do), she wouldn't stand a chance of getting elected as dog-catcher.

Well, this former aide to Clinton is saying it happened in his new book, so apparently it hasn't been debunked to some people, including a White House insider.

As for Buddy, you seem to know a lot about him and his circumstances.

Yes, a guy, who happens to be credable, gives his account of an incedent, an incedent that has been varified by other credible sources, happens to be selling a book. And this magically makes him wrong? On what planet?

Its easy when you give not one half **** about using people to test the penetration capabilities of the new box of bullets you just picked up. If we gunned down people like the Cartels we'd have no "southern border issue"... not advocating... I'm just saying.
