Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

We didn't get many lists, 6 of us total, I believe. We can proceed with only 6 if that's what you guys want, or an idea that I had is to restart the pool in a few months, when the board isn't plagued by having people gone for offseason. Let me know what you guys want, either works for me.

Re: I Think I'll Go For A Walk - Death Pool Thread

So Starship, I guess, judging by the picture with the article, is Mickey Thomas with a bunch of other people?

And how can Boston be touring when Brad Delp's dead? When does Quiet Riot hit the road?

He was on the field for Disco Demolition Night.
RIP, MCD.

"I did not know that." Bill Veeck (who had wanted to buy the Cubs, and helped plant the ivy on the outfield walls) expiated his sins of that evening by going to many Cubs games in his later years, sitting shirtless in the bleachers, with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other.

OP-You reminded me of something from my early years-as a kid was in yankee Stadium watching a sunday doubleheader (remember those?) and sitting in front of us was a row of well dressed guys talking baseball. One of them was espousing all his ideas for making the game better, faster, more interesting for the fans. He sounded like an absolute wild man and talking crazy stuff. Found out later it was Bill Veeck scouting the Yankees and their newest players that they had just traded for (and robbed) from Kansas City. Funny-haven't thought about that day in over 50 years.
