Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

Ooo, ooo, can I play this game?!
Shouldn't depend on whether your team wins a title or not, should it?
They aren't the best *because* they won the national title, they won the national title because they *are* the best.

The best center?

The best left winger?

Bobby Butler played right wing and Gustav Nyquist played center last year. Atkinson is a hell of a player and I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Hobey Hat Trick next year, but I would have taken either of the other guys over him and BC's right wings from last year.

it is understandable but wrong that you would try to peddle bobby butler as better than atkinson. atkinson had more goals and doesnt perpetually choke in the playoffs. he is also better looking.

Re: Hockey East 2010-2011

Did they have the best this or did they have the best that, who gives a puck. I don't know about you, but at the end of the year I'm not like, well hey we had the best 1st line/2nd line/goalie ect. We all know it's about hoisting that trophy in April, don't kid yourself. Though for the record, we did have the best fans :D :D

Maine fans were pretty close though. They put in a pretty good showing considering they're 300 miles from anything else.

Bobby Butler better than Atkinson? Seriously? Nyquist is a much better talent than either, but I dont think you'll find too many people outside of the 603 who would rather have Butler than Atkinson.

Same amount of points, Atkinson with one more goal in 3 more games played. They are both great players, there's no denying that. Atkinson is definitely a better pro prospect, but it's not inconceivable at all to say that Butler was a more complete player this past year. In fact, the All American voters said it by putting Butler on the first team and leaving Atkinson off of the first two teams. Butler's also pretty dang good looking :p .

Very fair point, they had an incredible showing at the semis and championship game. They made those games that much more fun to be at, my buddy and I were very impressed with their enthusiasm.

Personally I was impressed at how this fat chick from Maine with a blue pom-pom in her hair exhibited so much jiggle as she turned and flipped off our student section.

hahahaha, I know EXACTLY what you are talking about, and that is the picture that comes to mind when I think of maine... That and their goalie being entirely backwards as we scored on them
