This is called a discussion forum. People make speculations....doesn't make it gospel. Isn't that the whole basis of this thread? Speculation over things that might happen next year? I could say: "I think Vermont is going to finish 4th"....and whats it based on?? Speculation....
Again, it has nothing to do with that. It has to do with you passing off this fantasy that had no basis in reality. It wasn't speculation. It was pure fantasy that you passed off as something that was "fairly realistic" when there was absolutely NO BASIS for coming up with such a scenario.

Pardon me for forgetting that BC is obviously the exception to every rule even though they lost players early after both 2001 and 2008. Hey, maybe you don't think Dumoulin and Samuellson are the same caliber as the likes of Kobasew, Orpik or Gerbe....
Again, you miss the point. This is throwing generalizations and past events (of both BC and other former NCAA champs) at the wall and hoping it sticks. The point, once again, is that this
specific BC team, which you know absolutely nothing about appears to be coming back for another year. The people I know close to the situation and from reading BC publications like the Heights have indicated people like Cross and Kreider and Hayes and others are very very likely coming back.
and judging only by comparing NCAA performances so far, they don't compare yet.
Oh, so now you're going to focus on this specific BC team and admit they don't compare to performances like that of Orpik, Kobasew, and Gerbe. Well, thank God you're admitting you're a nitwit. I bet you don't even realize how dumb you are.

I really hope you enjoy these years, because I haven't met fans with less humility than Boston College. For the sake of the fans, hopefully York can provide a gravy train for another 20 years because if his successor can't sustain the same level of success....not too many fanbases are going to have a lot of sympathy.. They've been the best team in college hockey this past decade, but prior to 2001, they hadn't had national bragging rights in 52 years.
Oh I have enjoyed them. Of course, this has nothing to do with what the BC team is doing on the ice nor does it have to do with BC fans. It has nothing do with humility as a BC fan (fans don't really have much to be humble about, as they aren't the ones performining, they merely support their team) ... the team I follow and the team you posted about are irrelevant. It has to do with someone (you) having diarrhea of the keyboard and sharing a whimsical fantasy and passing it off as "fairly realistic" and supporting your "speculation" with nothing of substance that was based in reality and you were called out on it. Man up, admit your fantasy was stupid, and move on. It's that simple.
