I have no vested interest in UML but it's nice to see the Valley teams in the mix against the big boys

I have a feeling that Providence will grab one of the first two games and Game 3 will be tied into the third period. I base this on merely gut feeling, but I think the Friars are going to make this one interesting and cause some uncomfortable moments at Tsongas for the locals.

I hope the Friars give themselves a chance in these games. By that i mean no more than a 1 goal game going in to the third period each night.

When I saw PC a couple of weekends it looked like it would take them a week to score a goal let alone 5

A nice win tonight for the Friars, they out played Lowell.

Lowell had many glittering chances but didn't execute; overall the passing and skating were sloppy and took too many dumb penalties. Providence simply did execute and out-muscled Lowell to too many loose pucks in the second and third period and had control of the game by the 10:00 mark of the second.
