Got Snow?

Re: Got Snow?

snowing in 978 land when it isn't supposed to do that for at least 5+ more hours. Uh oh.

Re: Got Snow?

Snowing here in Maine...we've already got an inch and there's a winter weather advisory! Winter has begun.

Re: Got Snow?

We had our first notable flurries this past 3 days in Green Bay. Still all grass at my house today that is mostly green. We may get an inch or so today to end that for the season. They are saying 8-12 inches on Wednesday, but I'll say 4.5 inches is the absolute max we end up with on Wednesday. They've really overhyped every snow storm here the last few years.

Re: Got Snow?

It was 63 in Bangor :D 68 in Portland

surprise, looks like 4 or 5 inches of snow fell over night

That was fun. Had a discussion with the wife joking that I may have to mow the lawn again on Thursday when it was in the 60s. Sunday morning I was busting out the snowblower instead...

This morning it was down to 14 degrees in Bangor. Quite the swing in temp in a few days!

Supposed to get 3-5 inches in the TC area tomorrow into Wed, while life will cease to exist south of that. At least that's what you'd be led to believe when everyone white knuckles during the first big dump of the year.

Re: Got Snow?

3-5" on the ground here in Denver, way more in the mountains. More coming tonight.

I watched the downhill from Beaver Creek on NBC yesterday. Wished I was there on Saturday. :( Looked like a perfect Colorado day as opposed to the cloudy damp Saturday here in central PA.

Re: Got Snow?

Official totals from this weekend (Thursday night - Today) in Houghton: 32.5"

Heavy lake effect and systems snow predicted for the rest of the week. :D

Re: Got Snow?

We have a few inches in the central UP, nothing to scream and yell about.
Too bad for Flashy.

Win.

And even when they hype a "blizzard" which sometimes means a predicted (and correctly predicted) 6-8 inches, they act like it's the end of the world. It's *ing hilarious.
A blizzard isn't measured by the amount of snow falling, it's measured by whether or not high winds accompany a snowfall to make white-out conditions.

BOOOOOO! I don't want another hockey road trip involving driving to/from my destination in a snowstorm. It was bad enough last year when we went to Bemidji: whiteout on the way, sunny all day on the day we didn't travel, whiteout on the way back.
