dark brooding clouds over the lake just starting to spit snow.
National Weather Service has upgraded us to "life threatening" blizzard. :eek:
we are stocked up on food, drink and wood. would like to keep electricity running though.

Yup, we have that, too. I topped off my necessary supplies and I'm hunkered down to ride this out.

Marquette is under a Blizzard Warning from 7pm Tuesday until 1am Thursday.
We are getting some lake effect right now, which should only boost total amounts. Marquette is foretasted to get 12-24 inches, with higher amounts possible.

Someone is the U.P. is going to end up with 30+ inches of snow.

FML. I WAS going to go to Jewel-Osco to actually do grocery shopping after work. Now when I go, I'll have to deal with all the idiots who think that this snow storm is going to halt the universe for two weeks. :rolleyes:

Apparently I still have to work tomorrow! Its going to be a great drive from Neguanee to Marquette on US 41. Not happy about this.

In the relative scheme of things, Minneapolis is getting off pretty easy. Only about 6-9 inches of snow impeding my walk to class tomorrow.

Keweenaw Peninsula. we had a dusting this afternoon. then some sun. now its snowing pretty good. little bit of wind from the northeast.

Right now it's looking like I am gonna be on the rainy/sleety side of this whole deal in the Southwest Chicago Burbs... At least that means it'll be dead at work tomorrow night...

That was a beautiful sight.

Dunno how much snow has fell, but it's not a whole lot. Roads were crappy, seems like the plows/salt trucks were reacting to the snow, and weren't really prepared. :rolleyes:

Really windy now, and a bit cold. And work got BUSIER as the day went on, and it wasn't a lot of weather-related things (like ice melt and shovels). So, we were puzzled. Maybe it'll be dead tomorrow. That'd be great. :)
