Just got an e-mail from my brother stating "it's snowing in Houston!"
He then went on to say that nothing is sticking to the ground, but it is definitely snowing.

Try flushing. (Oh, yeah... that's up near Flint..)
Don't know where you're at, but the only "snow" was in Northern Oakland County. Grand Rapids area, and along the western coast is getting 6-12".
No measurable snow due until maybe early next week. The record for no measurable snow is like December 24th around SE Michigan, set back about 2001.

One of my friends that went to school at Albany but lives Texas said she was breaking out her snow attire for today and I said...so you're still in NY?
Nope she's in Texas. My guess is they shut down the cities if they get an inch

Confirmed for at least one business in Austin, TX. A friend just emailed me that they have already sent people home for the day in anticipation of up to 1 inch of the white stuff

Yeah I called Progressive yesterday, and the bubbly chick that I was talking to started talking about the weather once she found out where I live. She said she was in Austin, and she went on to say that they were expecting snow today and that she was NOT happy about that. haha
My friend lived in Dallas for a while, and he said that it snowed one time, but it was over freezing so nothing was sticking and there was no ice on the roads, yet it took him 3 hours to drive on interstate to work, which usually took him about 15/20 mins. Both of the people in the car were UND grads, so they were pretty ticked that the Texas drivers couldn't handle it even though there was nothing wrong with the roads.
Growing up in ND my whole life (yeah unfortunate I know) that would really frustrate me! lol

I saw a clip this week of people shoveling in El Paso. Been there on a business trip about 15 years ago when they had snow/ice in May. It was like a funniest home video show with people sliding through intersections and going over curbs. I chose not to leave the hotel that day.

One of the plows in Ho-ton today pushed a car on Hubbell Street into a telephone pole and snapped it in half
Portage Township was nice enough to scrape the roads down to a thin, icy layer of snow and not put any sand down either, ********

63 and sunny here. But let me preface that by saying today was the first day I had to wear a jacket to work. 10 degrees below normal and it gets into the 30's when the sun goes down.
