I went there to visit with some long-time friends, not to impress an anonymous sycophant on this thread.

Having said that, how are we to proceed? Are we going to ignore anatomy?

Personally, I don't care much. We can go with retinal scans for ID if you please, and any concept of permanent gender be damned... But if you think that that s*** will flush -with even Centrists- prepare yourself for a wave of Neo-Trumpies in the mid-terms.

Have a friend look up "pragmatism" for you, Pollyanna. The nuts and bolts of implementing a gender-less society will be complicated, don't ya think? Perhaps it should proceed in measured increments.

First, Centrism <> pragmatism

Second, people who still vote for both parties don't give a shit about gender identity. It's probably going to fall around 700th on the list of priorities and almost none of them are going to say, "Yeah, I care what happens in the 400m hurdles at the US Track & Field Championships!"

Anyone who cares about this and votes against trans rights was almost certainly a socially conservative voter. There are very, very few socially conservative, fiscally liberal voters in the US. They just don't exist. And certainly not in numbers enough to change any election.

Have a friend look up, "illogical" for you, Snowflake. We're nowhere close to becoming a genderless society no matter how many times you come here crying to the contrary. You have NO ANSWER to defend your angst filled insistence we're headed down a dangerous slippery slope and yet keep coming back making the same failed argument over and over. Grow up.
 
I've been out since 2002 in some form, when I initially came out as the B in LGBT.

Since that time, I've endured gay marriage panic, attempts to ban the Alphabet from fair and equitable housing and employment practices, bathroom panic, locker room panic, and more. Reasons behind the panic have ranged from "this violates my religious liberty" to "predatory and opportunistic cis men will take advantage" to "if they're granted rights, there will be an Earth-shattering kaboom."

A. If it really is about predatory and opportunistic cis men, you'd be advocating for stronger and better enforcement of rape/SA/sexual misconduct laws and faster processing of rape kits among other things, instead of automatically blaming trans people.

B. Where's the kaboom? I was promised an Earth-shattering kaboom.
 
As I've recently pointed out, anyone who has paid attention for the past decade can easily establish that modern American "centrists/moderates" are just the few remaining conservatives whose views on LGBT, immigrants, and minorities are a bit less extreme than their neighbors'. They're already voting conservative 8 or 9 times out of 10, they just don't want to admit it outside of their bubble.

At least they have the decency to be embarrassed by voting R. I guess that's something.

I don't know, my dad came around on me and minorities, but tells anyone within earshot he votes R. The babies > me, I guess.
