Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!
I believe that is also where we got the infamous "Beer is Food" pin.

No problem, I will be able to find someone to go. You can ignore the post in the lodge from this morning.bbdl - as it turns out, my friend was getting Twins tickets through another channel so I don't need the SRO tickets you got. Hope that doesn't screw you up at all!! I feel bad, and hope you can get rid of them.
So, my two co-workers that are joining me out there on Monday night had left me in charge of finding a place for dinner that night. Any recommendations? We're staying in Edina but we're willing to head into downtown Minneapolis.
Yes, I have one that you can buy. Mookie said that he would take it if I still have it left at Frozen 4 time, but if you want it, its yours.Anyone know of an available single for the F4?![]()

I will always remember scarlet coming in saying "sorry I'm wicked late, I couldn't find a place to pahk da cah. Who knew a gahrage was a cah pahk."![]()
Ramp. Who knew they called garages ramps. Which I still find very weird. And I never say "da". The rest I'll give ya.![]()

I don't know what there would be from downtown St. Paul. Your best bet would be your hotel shuttle. I doubt any bars in downtown St. Paul have a bus, they have them around Minneapolis, if you want to drive that far, or can get that far.Do you think we should email the hotel and ask if they are going to have Purple Hooters again?
edit: does anyone know of any shuttles to Target Field from downtown St. Paul for Opening Day? Like from a bar or hotel? I assume there will be something.
Let's not let the nitpicking about "da" rather than "the" distract from the important point, which is what the hell is a parking ramp?Ramp. Who knew they called garages ramps. Which I still find very weird. And I never say "da". The rest I'll give ya.![]()
My group has looked into this and come to the conclusion that we're going to have to rent a car this year, which we avoided in Detroit and DC and Denver and St. Louis, because there really isn't much of a public transit connection between the two downtowns. (And this will probably be the case next year too because there's the same issue with Tampa and St. Petersburg.)edit: does anyone know of any shuttles to Target Field from downtown St. Paul for Opening Day? I would guess Mancini's (close to DT) and Shamrock's (about a mile past Mancini's on W. 7th) run a bus. O'Gara's (Snelling & Selby) and Billy's (Grand & Victoria) do too.

I've always been a fan of Cossetta's. Might not be exactly what you're looking for but I've always loved their food. Mancini's is a fine place for steak.
Also, are they planning to have the Penalty Box West again???![]()
St. Paul. Within walking distance of the X.Are these places in Minneapolis or St. Paul? Which is closer to Edina - Minneapolis or St. Paul?

A 2nd for Mancini's. No-nonsense but very good and much less than a place like Manny's or Ruth's Chris. Cherokee (St. Paul's lower west side or Eagan) is pretty good too, though the Eagan location is a little supper-clubbish.
Cossetta's is very good but it's cafeteria style so if you're looking for a sit down place I'd keep looking. Don't get me wrong, it's very good but it may not be what you're after. Pazzaluna may be a good downtown St. Paul option as would DiGidio's (just down the street from Mancini's) on W. 7th. for old fashioned heavy red sauce type of place. Ristorante Luci (St. Paul's Highland Park neighborhood, near St. Thomas) is really good if you're looking for a little more upscale Italian but not too expensive.

Mancini's has been a favorite of a lot of people I know when it comes to steak. It's just as good as anywhere in town but for less than half the price. I know my parents have been going there for decades and I know it's my dad's favorite restaurant. He still goes there with all the guys he grew up with when they go out.
Looks like that was answered by others but I figured with their proximity to the X, they were perfect.
