There will probably not be any snow left, but I would be surprised if anything other than driving ranges were open that quickly.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

There a couple courses that open as soon as the snow melts - Manitou Ridge comes to mind - but most of them are not top tier hoity-toity mookie like country club courses. ;)

Reid's has been the same ever since I can remember. There's a couple other bars between Reid's and the X, but I can't say I've ever been in them (the ones on Reid's side of the street). McGovern's is a good place, and so is the Liffey.

Is there going to be an Ugly Jersey Day?

Sloe Vag knows a hooker bartender in the one on the corner across the street from the X.

If golf is an option, I'd love to join in on that. I've got some serious prep to do for this golf season, so I need to play as much as I can.:)

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

bbdl - as it turns out, my friend was getting Twins tickets through another channel so I don't need the SRO tickets you got. Hope that doesn't screw you up at all!! I feel bad, and hope you can get rid of them.

So, my two co-workers that are joining me out there on Monday night had left me in charge of finding a place for dinner that night. Any recommendations? We're staying in Edina but we're willing to head into downtown Minneapolis.

There's The Tavern (I think that's the name) on France by the Southdale Mall (I think I remember you said you were at The Westin by the Galleria?) which is pretty good.

I guess it also depends what kind of place you're looking for.

Be more specific - what type of food/atmosphere/price range are you looking for? That will heavily determine the places we recommend.

Not a chain. I'd go for a nice Italian place or a nice steak house, but not the Ruth's Chris level. I'd say entrees in the $20-$25 range.

I've always been a fan of Cossetta's. Might not be exactly what you're looking for but I've always loved their food. Mancini's is a fine place for steak.
