Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Burn him! He likes the wave too!

I bet he like CFL bulbs in houses full of little children, too. And he probably defends soccer as an "interesting" and "fun" "game" whenever he gets the chance, too.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

OK, you hosers.
I have been waiting 25 1/2 years to try a Jucy Lucy. F4 weekend, this is going to happen. Is anyone with me on this??
Of course, what a stupid question! We (well, two of the three in my group) went to Matt's on our way back from the Cornell trip to UND in November '08 and would at least like to go to 5-8, if not also to Matt's again to do a comparison without 3 years in between, and maybe elsewhere as well. Because hey, burger with cheese in the middle.

OK, burger preferences are one thing, but liking the wave is inexcusable.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

I think it can be arranged. Maybe after the Posters game? or Sunday?

Yes, to either.

It is at Hubert's, right next to Target Field. Jucy Lucy, wrapped in bacon, beer battered, deep fried, served on Texas toast. It is very tasty, and also probably about 8500 calories.

If diva wants a juicy, we should really find the time to take her to Matt's Bar.

:)

Awesome. :)

This tournament sucks, I just want to go get drunk.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Stop watching and cheering for ECAC teams. It will improve your outlook on the tournament greatly.

And it's looking like that the chance of 3 WCHA teams in the F4 is remote. CC looks terrible.

Right now, for attendance purposes, a tUMD/UND matchup would be the most beneficial.

That wouldn't happen until the title game. UND's region is paired with Michigan's in the national semifinal.

UMD will play the winner of UNH / ND-Merrimack.

I know it wouldn't happen until the title game. However, having both teams there on Thu will help, and to keep fans around, a UND-tUMD title game would be the most beneficial. Local-ish fans not going to Thu's games may spring for tickets being sold by fans whose team isn't in the title game, etc etc.

I don't think tUMD's opponent will matter for fans, and obviously MI would bring in more fans than CC.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Leave it to me to be excited about moving to MSP when I was going to finally be in the same vicinity as the regional and Frozen Four... only to move to CA for work and not only be surrounded by idiots that like basketball and know nothing about hockey, but there's barely anywhere that even shows hockey! :(

But I hope everyone that's going has a great time!

Illinois-Chicago would bring more fans than CC. After all CC fans have better things to do than going to CC games.

There's an error in your statement: there's not multiple CC fans. There's only one. We saw him last weekend.

i'd prefer a shorter wait time for using the head.... teams with the least # of fans coming is best. :D

If you have club level, the lines will be very short. Upper deck, they will be short. Lower deck? Good luck. Better time it right.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

I am lower behind the other goal... I'll just invest in a box of depends

There are many tvs in the concourse, and audio in the restrooms. Best bet is to head there after a whistle with about 1 minute or 2 left in the period.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

The Blue Door Pub
Matt's Bar
5-8 Club
Shamrock's - There was a fire at The Nook :( & it's currently being re-constructed.
Groveland Tap

For whatever reason I like Matt's the best, by far. I think its probably just the location as my expecations aren't much. Dumpy little beer bar on a mostly residential corner in South Minneapolis yet the molten cheeseburger and fries are excellent every time.

Were you born a d*uchebag? Or did you pick it up at St. Cloud? Just curious.
