I didn't want to clog the Twins thread with this question, but where is the Kirby statue outside of Target Field?
I am going to guess its outside the gate that is named after his number (34).I didn't want to clog the Twins thread with this question, but where is the Kirby statue outside of Target Field?
Gate Times/Locations – Target Field gates open for admittance 1 ½ hours prior to the first pitch for Monday through Thursday games, and 2 hours prior to the first pitch for Friday through Sunday games. There are five gate entrances at Target Field, each on the Main Level. Each of the five gates is wheelchair-accessible and named for a former Twins great. Gate #3, named in honor of Harmon Killebrew, is located at 5th Street and 3rd Avenue. Gate #6, named in honor of Tony Oliva, is located on 5th Street by the Light Rail Station. Gate #14, named in honor of Kent Hrbek, is located off of 7th Street behind home plate and next to Hrbek's. Gate #29, named in honor of Rod Carew, is located on Target Plaza by 7th Street. The largest gate at Target Field is gate #34, named in honor of Kirby Puckett, located on Target Plaza.
Outside the women's restroom?!?!?![]()
Hey, did you block me on Facebook? I got this weird thing that said it was an event but it also said "See who blocked you!"
I would guess Mancini's (close to DT) and Shamrock's (about a mile past Mancini's on W. 7th) run a bus. O'Gara's (Snelling & Selby) and Billy's (Grand & Victoria) do too.
There are a bunch of us going over there from St. Paul, you could probably find a way over with us. I think we'll be taking a van cab or 2, with a bunch of people in it, so it will end up being about $5 per person.OK. If I had to pick between Billy's and O'Gara's, which one should we go to for drinks and potentially food? I've tried looking for more shuttles, and I can't find anything else.
Looks like there's also a bus from very close to our hotel - 94C Express - Minneapolis/Target Field.
I just realized I never heard back from our hotel, but I also haven't checked my junk mail.

with what bbdl said, express buses are $3/person. The 94C will not be operating when the game gets out, so you'll either have to cab it back or take the 16 (I think), which is a very long ride as it stops on almost every corner along University Ave. And once you get away from the U's campus, the other riders become very smelly and grimy.
That's the plan. We need as many people as possible if we're going to set the record for das boots consumed. And then she continue along with us to Gasthof's after the game.![]()
But everyone needs to remember, it would be best to stay in Minneapolis with the rest of us after the game, since it will easily be the best way to have a helluva good time.Jen - I would go with Billy's, much better food IMHO but I have not used their shuttle so I can't comment on that. Just an FYI parking is at a premium along Grand & especially near Billy's.
I have done the O'Gara's shuttle, they are pretty liberal on how much you have to spend - like one beer - if I remember correctly from last year. It does fill up fast, both before and after games, so get there early and get back to the pick up location or you may need to wait for the bus to make a return trip.
The 16 will be even slower than normal now as it runs along University Ave which is torn up for choo-choo construction.

She called me strange!?Ya'll are going to Gashof's after the game? Where is that? I am going to the opener with the boss, she thinks meeting my USCHO/GPL acquaintances is a little strange.......though she did survive meeting Scarlet a few years ago at Sally's.![]()
Eventually we are going to Gasthof's, but probably don't want to get there until about 9:00. Right after the game we'll probably stop for a few drinks somewhere downtown, then work our way across the river, hopefully stop at Nye's Polynaise Room, ending up at Gasthof's at 9:00. We will probably have to cab to Gasthof's, it would be a pretty long walk.Ya'll are going to Gashof's after the game? Where is that? Gasthof's is on University in Nordeast, at the intersection of 23rd Ave NE.
If you want to meet up with us, feel free to show up to the game a couple hours early. We're planning on getting lunch at Hubert's before the game.
Also, I want to make sure I have contact information for everyone who is getting a ticket from me. Off the top of my head the only 2 that I don't have phone numbers for are JF_Gophers and handyman. I want to make sure we can meet up before the game, and I can get the tickets to you guys.
