Weather report according to local channel KSTP:

Today will be less windy than yesterday with a mix of clouds and sun. Temperatures will climb back into the 50s this afternoon and it should remain in the 50s for the rest for the week. While there is a slight chance of a sprinkle today or a shower of rain tonight the next 48 hours will be mainly dry
There is a better chance of showers (t-showers )Thursday night into Friday morning, but it is looking like the Twins opener should remain dry.
The weekend could get quite warm with the chance of an isolated t-storms Saturday with a better chance of storm on Sunday. Yes, Spring is here

Say hi to Peter for me. He might even remember my real name. His daughter, Hanna, was in skating lessons with my kid and went to the same music teacher as my kid for a while.

But when he signed with them, Herb Brooks was coaching (of course he did play 2 seasons under Lamaire). And Peter's brother Ben played a few games with the Devils while Chorske was there.

So, looking at the weather report for the cities, it looks like I may not need to bring a heavy coat after all; Wednesday seems like the only night it will get under 40.

Yeah, the occasions that I'm expecting to spend significant time outside (baseball game, tailgating) aren't during cold parts of the day anyway. I'm not too worried.

By the way, can you smoke in bars in Minnesota?

No. Most bars have patios/outside areas for that. And there is zero smoking in the stadium or on the plaza (which is outdoors).

Edit: MN is probably second only to CA in their anti-smoking laws.

ah, i had my heart set on interlachen. but i'm not even going to make the effort to email or call the guy/member and ask since they ain't open. i'll have to make another trip when it's actually golf season. not inclined to make the hassle of carrying the clubs on the plane then.

next year will be an entire week in tampa. got friends belong to four clubs in the clearwater-largo area. one of which has a female asian head pro! (we met for drinks at an applebees or whatnot when i was there in january!! florida...)
