Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

Would love to meet with you and any other locals for dinner Tuesday night. I'll be with my work peeps Monday night and we will not be going out after dinner (at least I won't) as our breakfast event starts at 7:15am. The event should end by 10:30 and then I'll probably be working in my room the rest of the day. It would be fun to see meet up with folks that night for a pre-FF dinner and beverage, if anyone is interested. goldy - I'll respond to your email with my cell phone.

Just checked the weather. Looks like Friday will be nice for the game, though we are a few days out. Thursday and Saturday still looking a bit rainy.

So, anyone else up for dinner with Scarlet Tuesday? We don't have to stay in Edina. Sometimes we venture outside the walls for dinner.

There isn't still snow on the ground in the Cities, is there? Would rather not pack boots if I don't have to.

Not really. A small drift here and there, but it's supposed to be in the 40s-50s all week, so that should be gone.

Wait, are they moonboots? If so, then you should bring them and wear them.

Sorry but no, just regular winter boots. :p

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

I don't wear boots when there is snow. Unless I'm doing outdoors stuff. Boots are for working and hunting.

I think i'll have to pass on a tuesday night dinner. I have work wednesday and edina is almost an hour drive from my house.

You won't need boots. Heh, boots. What a nancyboy.
I don't go up above the Arctic Circle all that often, for all I know there's a foot and a half of snow still on the ground. :p

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

You should really try taking this entire week as vacation. It's awesome.

It's 54 F right now and most of the snow is gone. FWIW, the NWS says there is a 30 percent chance of snow tomorrow, but 50's the rest of the week.

I have better things to use my vacation on than to just sit around at home for the first part of the week.

We should really pick a place to eat/drink/meet before the Twins game, in case people here don't meet up with each other before then. I will propose Huberts, its close to TF and easy to find. I am hoping/planning to be there by noon, hopefully we can carve out an area for the group, since it will be quite busy. I will be there with the tickets, for whoever is getting a ticket from me. Hopefully others who are going will meet up there also.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

So we have Scarlet, the Rube. MNS, me, Mrs. goldy and goldy jr. Six for dinner so far. I vote we go ahead with downtown Edina since MNS is coming from SLP and Brent from Tonka it's pretty close.

Scarlet, any requests for food type? What time? We have Italian, Mexican, Pizza, American foodie and sort of a French/American foodie fare if we stick to the 59th and France area. (Well some others too that I don't recommend.) My recommendation for a group like this is Salut, the French/American thingy. I know they have some bigger tables and a wide variety. http://www.salutbaramericain.com/ Menu here: http://www.salutbaramericain.com/menu/edinadinner.html

If we don't want to go that fancy, I'd go next door to Edina Grill.

There was mention of Italian, if so we could go to Arezzo.

This.

If I only had a 2-day work week, I'd be going nuts at work waiting for Wednesday.

And goldy: doesn't matter to me, let the guest decide. All I need is a place and time, and I'll get there. Feel free to email me if need be.

Re: Frozen Four: Don't Forget To Bring Your Parka!

The Salut Bar Americain sounds good to me!

What time, and do you want us to pick you up, or get directions to meet us there? I'll make reservations tomorrow.

Directions are it is on France Avenue, just south of 50th street, on west side of street. There is a parking ramp (deck, parkade, whatever) behind it that can be reached from 51st street. Right across the street from General Sports where you can by Edina gear.;)

If you want to drive from the Westin, go to France Ave. and head north (right) to 51st street, go left on 51st and look for the parking signs immediately for a right turn.

I won't have a car so if you could pick me up, that would be great, if it's not too much trouble! As for a time, I'll leave that up to you as I'm sure you're working that day. I'll be working at the hotel till 5-ish, so anytime after that would be OK.
