I listened to the game on the internet last night. From the sound of the Ferris announcers it was a rough one!!! It sounded as if Ferris physically manhandled the Irish!!! I would like to see the highlights of some of the hits? Anyone know where I can find them?

Not sure what Jackson said to get Schmit DQed, but it must have been a pretty good argument since neither referee made any indication that a penalty was warranted until long after the play was over.

Notre Dame has really gone downhill. They rival Miami for class now; cheapshots all over the place. At least Blasi has the stones to address the media after the RedHawks goon it up.

Both Miami and ND have class it's just a case of two hockey teams that were frustrated. From the sounds of Dom and Dan tonight it sounded like ND took it to Ferris in the 1st, but then Ferris picked it up in the 2nd and 3rd? Was any one at the game that could validate this assessment?

Tough weekend for the bulldogs. They will need to rebound against a good Colgate Team this weekend.

Should be a good series with you folks this weekend. Looking forward to listening to the games. Teams seem to be evenly matched, if the polls mean anything :)

It's unbelievably noticeable what staying out of the penalty box does for this team. A total of 20 minutes in the box for the series compared to their average of 20 minutes in the box a night. Overall, a pretty solid weekend of play after faltering a bit in the holiday tourney. Taking both games next weekend against Alaska are crucial, especially since the team has to travel to Columbus the following weekend.

This is a huge weekend for the bulldogs. We need at least 3 points on the weekend. Heading into Columbus next weekend we need to get the points while we can!! go dawgs.

There was lots of sloppy hockey but solid weekend from a points earned standpoint. Interesting selection of shooters by Daniels in the shootout. The Dawgs are going to need to figure out what happened to their defense before heading to Columbus. Nelson had a decent weekend, but I'd like to see Mott get one start this upcoming weekend.

Big, big win tonight in Columbus, 4-3, but we almost gave this one away. We led 4-0 7 minutes into the 2nd and chased their goaltender. A parade of penalties let Ohio State back into it, and none was bigger than Alexander's 5 + DQ with 7 minutes to go. That's exactly the kind of thing that has killed us. Luckily for us, we only gave up one goal to cut the lead to 4-3, and we got killed another penalty that put us down 5x3 during part of that major.

Had we lost this game after being up 4-0, that would have been a season-killer. Instead, it's a big 3 points in the standings, and what should be a decent bump in the PWR, which we really need right now.

Jordie Johnston scored his 14th tonight, and he's quietly having a nice season.

Just to show how volatile the PWR is right now - Ferris is up to 6th. A win tomorrow night would be huge. Dom said the student section is sold out for next weekend vs. MSU and if the boys can pull through with a victory tomorrow night, you can be sure that momentum will carry over into Big Rapids. But they have to take care of business tomorrow night. Staying out of the box is so crucial to this team's success. Let's finish this off and head back home. I love this time of the year!

After tonight, we've got 10 games left. Those last 10 are as follows: MSU, NMU, Notre Dame, BG, Western. Six of them are at home. We might need 7 of those 10, plus a win at the Joe, to get to you-know-where.

We've been here before, just a couple years ago. We couldn't finish then. Let's not make the same mistake twice.
