15-8-3 with 10 to go. 7-3 down the stretch + a trip to the Joe, and a win there, and we're looking at 25 wins, minimum. That's got to be the expectation to get us in. Remember, shootout wins (or losses) have absolutely zero effect on the PWR. Those are CCHA points only.

Great job going down to Columbus and getting after a team that's down. That's a sign of a good team. Denis has come out of nowhere and is providing nice PP support. Michigan State is going to come into a rowdy barn next weekend. Hopefully the team can keep their emotions in check and limit stupid penalties. Honestly...when this team stays out of the box and plays smart hockey, they can compete with the best. Not to mention, I rather enjoy seeing Ohio State lose in any sport

Yes indeed. Nice to get the win after blowing a 3-1 lead. FSU just looked faster than State all weekend.
Hopefully they can get some wins at Northern next weekend. Leading the CCHA with two games in hand on most teams and #4 in the Pairwise (as of right now). If they can finish strong they'll be going places.
On a side note, Sergott is not a good referee.

That's surprising to hear considering that if NMU sweeps FSU, NMU would still be one point behind LSSU as LSSU is idle. But if FSU sweeps NMU, FSU will be 8 points ahead of LSSU.
Any LSSU fan that wants their team to stay in the hunt for a top four position in the CCHA should be rooting for NMU this weekend.

We needed this one. And we need some more. A split at the least with both Notre Dame and Western, plus a sweep of BG. That would put us 7-2-1 to close things out. Then get to the Joe and win a game there. That would cement things.
I don't care if we win the CCHA. I don't care if we win the CCHA tournament at the Joe. I really don't care. Honestly. The (much) bigger prize is that NCAA tournament bid, as we found out a couple years ago. That's the one I want. Badly.

It's always nice to hang banners. The CCHA regular season doesn't mean much. The CCHA tourney win gets you the autobid, so that isn't all that bad, plus it is a sure boost to PWR. The NCAA tourney is on everyone's wish list for sure- but it also pays to lighten the journey by qualifying as a top seed if you can.
