Hey, Prez, just to let you know, just found out that my neighbour's niece is one of the Elmira's goaltenders. GO FIGURE. I guess I will always be an Elmira supporter.

The Soaring Eagles of Elmira College take there 9 game winning streak into Stafford Arena in Plattsburgh this Saturday March 6th to play in sudden death fashion against the Tigers of RIT in the ECAC West Tournament. Puck drop is 7pm EST.

These two teams match up extremley well with EC holding a slight edge in their meetings this year as their first game was a 3-3 OT draw and game # 2 saw EC win by goal. Special teams and goaltending will be huge factors in this game as EC will pit it's overall league leading PP percentage of 29.9 against RIT's overall league leading PK which sits at 88.6%. Not to be outdone on the PK side EC holds second spot with an 88.4% average. Sullivan & company hold a stellar overall 1.11 GAA... best in the league by a whopping .14 goals.

All things considered, this should prove to be the matchup that everyone is anticipating with the winner going on to on to play either Platty or Utica/Nuemann on Sunday for all the marbles.

Good Luck to all involved...especially the poor bugger running the clock!

Appreciate it Trott`s, (Edited my original). Actually the schedule has been all over the map. First heard Friday night game then changed to mid afternoon Saturday..then 6pm Saturday and now 7pm Saturday.

What is the Ice Carnival in town or what....

acutally, before any of that, collegehockeystats had Elmira playing Platty Sunday for the championship already. Silly site administrators...

probably gonna get just rob Saturday. Ducky will be with the boys in oswego for the SUNYAC chip

So Trott`s... can we assume your confirming that the Platty games will be broadcast Saturday.... and Sunday, if they make it through.
