Remember November? I seem to remember a purple and yellow team who was probably begging for an extra four minutes way back when...:D

both teams have come a long way from those two games. if semester break didn't have to come so soon for platty after that, i think they would have been undefeated. the few weeks off couldn't have helped. Elmira has found its niche with sully in net and seem to be running on all correct cylinders. Amherst has befuddled a few teams this year, both good and bad. so we'll see. should be a great view from the press box in a week and a half :cool:

Amherst are always a threat & despite rumour to the contrary I don't think we have heard the last of the Tiger's down the stretch. Should be fun!

Now about that press box...can I pick the 3 stars?

i will say i blew it against potsdam, not considering hitchman. we kinda bounch ideas off each other up there. midd had two stars in the 1-all tie a while ago. i didn't work the elmira games in november, don't even know who the stars were.

i take that back. i did consider hitchman. but probably should have pushed it harder

Not that I've been letting it bother me or anything:) ...but in two very close games, 3-2 Platty win and a 4-3 Platty win in OT, 6 stars were given to six different Plattsburgh players. You and I both know that's probably not right.
Doesn't matter...I'm being a little facetious here with all this but... where I come from the 3 stars mean something.

I'll admit I have not taken into consideration your proximity to the NHL franchise in Montreal, where they have been picking their stars with the same criteria as Plattsburgh for years.:D

i can't not agree with you. again i didn't work those games. cooler heads may have prevailed with my presence :)

ECAC West tourney info has been released with Elmira as the #2 seed....they will play the highest remaining seed after the first round games....

congrats to #44, #11 and the rest of the Elmira Soaring Eagles :-)

In Plattsburgh, success is dependent upon victories, not Three Star selections. The girls really don't give a rat's behind about that, but if it's so important to your prima donas in Elmira, you can have all the "stars" and we'll take the wins. Sound fair? :p

Must be raining...:( . Didn't know you were a Habs fan either.

Guess I didn't realize it was a Cardinal's team building thing. It was posted in collegehockeystats and since I've come to learn, a number of teams don't even bother to pick. I stand corrected and better understand now that the 3 star awards in college hockey mean absolutley nothing.

With respect to the wins...there's only one way to get those and that's to earn them.

If you watch the 3-star selections in Plattsburgh, you'll see that not many people pay any attention to it and the girls do a very quick 360 on the ice and disappear ASAP. (I think it's more of a proud parent thing...the players don't really care.)

FYI...sore back today...played a Nicklaus course anyway...beautiful...and no, I'm a Red Wing fan. ;)
