Congratulations to Lauren "Sully" Sullivan on gathering her second straight ECAC West Goalie of the Week honors. Sullivan sports a .943 save % with a 1.27 GAA and 3 of her 4 wins to date have been by shutout. Beauty.

The Soaring Eagles take their show on the road this weekend with a 2 game set against the Pioneers of Utica. (anybody know why they have an angry moose on their logo?)

Utica currently sits in 2nd in the West standings with a 6-2-0 record falling only to the formidable Tigers of RIT. The Pioneers have been able to accomplish something this young season that EC hasn't in sweeping the Oswego Lakers. Utica players to watch might be Sr. Darcy Hier (#18) with 2G/10A and Freshman Megan Myers (#15) with 8G/3A. Utica lost their standout goalie Jill Doherty to graduation and have all but split this years ice time with Freshman goalie Hamel and Junior Hotaling.

EC will need to play 2 solid road games in order to come away from the weekend with the points they so desperately need to stay in the hunt in the ECAC West...

As per Utica's website, both games will be carried on fasthockey.com with Saturday's tilt going at 7pm EST and Sunday's at 3pm EST live from the Utica Memorial Auditorium...home of the angry moose...

...and home to the loudest train horn in the league...almost crapped myself the first time that thing went off!!!

And speaking of dumb logos, what's with the rear end of the purple cow on the front of one school's logo??? (Is it Williams? I'm not sure...)

As reported on the Platty thread...

WIRY.com will be covering the game on Saturday Dec 11th that see's Platty vs. Elmira however no coverage will be available for the Sunday tilt due to WIRY's commitment to the Giants NFL game.

WIRY will be broadcasting both Sunday games of the Cardinal/Panther classic on January 2nd which sees Platty go up against Amherst and Elmira vs. Middlebury. WIRY is only committed to the game that the Cards play in on Monday the 3rd of January. Time and opponent to be determined.

Congratulations to Tori Charron on being named ECAC West ROTW. Well deserved as her contribution this past weekend in Utica was in a word..Heroical!

One last 2 game set prior to the break as ECWH travels up to Plattsburgh with some momentum...another 4 points?

I'm sure both the Cardinal's and Seymour will have something to say about that. X-)

Just found out through another thread from a Plattsburgh State insider that both Platty/Elmira games will be available at Fasthockey.com on the weekend.

Heading up to Plattsburgh any minute. Hope they ae good games!
Lucky omen for the Soaring Eagles? I saw PN-C at the Norwich-Trinity game last night in Hartford and he told me to be a Soaring Eagle fan!

Wow. PN-C checked in a D-III game again....havent heard that name in a few years.

Good luck to both teams this weekend. All of us in Rochester are hoping for each team to come out with a win when the weekend is over.
Personally I think Platty sweeps, 4-1 and 3-0. If someone else on EC can step up and score other than Charron, EC will be much better off heading into this stretch of games.
