A Board divided against itself cannot stand.

Re: Elections 2012:What unites us is greater than what divides us

Occupy was closer to Marxists than TEA, for crying out loud.

and what makes you think that "Marxists" have very much to do with what Marx actually wrote? Marx wrote Das Kapital, probably still the most exhaustive and insightful analysis of how capitalism works. He thought that capitalism is the most efficient economic system, which is the basis for his social criticism: "efficiency" should not be our primary criteria.

He would have sneered at OWS' hypocrisy, spoiled bratty children throwing an immature temper tantrum. If you actually read what he wrote, rather than rely on someone else's interpretation (yeah, I know, some translations can be mind-bogglingly obtuse), you'd be surprised at how closely his critiques align with the TEA party critiques.

Marxists : Marx :: Islamic terrorists : Islamic teachings

More evidence that the entitlement state is undermining self-reliance (the question had been to what degree of correlation):

Right. It has nothing to do with growing income inequality or the fact that real wages have declined to the point the average American worker is making the same as he did 20 years ago.

It's all a lack of self-reliance...

Do you honestly believe the horse**** you're spewing, or are you just another Murdoch shill?

Re: Elections 2012:What unites us is greater than what divides us

Right. It has nothing to do with.... It's all ....

Who taught you logic? You exaggerate nuance into "all" or "none" when most of the world lives in "some" and "part."

Did you miss the section about partial correlation?

I guess if you view inquisitive speculation as ideological warfare that's where you wind up, eh? :p

Either that or in night court.

Your "inquisitive speculation" and a GOP talking point look a lot alike..

Now.. Look at the projection - in 28 years 55%. That makes them the majority.

They'll end up with nationalist anti-immigration parties coming up and taking power when the # gets around 25-30% in each country.

Then that's the end of the EU??

The EU looks like it's falling apart now. Probably shrink back to the EC where they should have left it to start with.

The EU expanded the same way the NHL did and has the same percentage of poor franchises to show for it.
