Elections 2012: Congressional and Gubernatorial

"My mommy told me so." That works when you're 10. It's a little less relevant when you're a lawyer, checking a box that, among other things, makes it more likely you'll get a really, really good job. Ward Churchill used a similar defense: "I've always thought of myself as Indian."

What do the tribes say?
Cherokee nation is furious with Brownie's campaign staffers and his refusal to apologize.

Re: Elections 2012: Congressional and Gubernatorial

Somebody should show Todd Akin this story because it's, you know, unpossible.

Newt, Santorum and DeMint endorsed him today. Classy all the way down, GOP.

CCCCOMBO BREAKER

(seriously, why'd you interrupt him? He was on a roll.)

Which has zero relevance to whether she lied her a*s off for over a decade about her "heritage," Kemo sabe. Geez, if Brown has lost all those Mass. Cherokees, he's probably doomed. Maybe he could plagiarize some recipes and submit them to "Pow Wow Chow II." Mmmmmm, that delicious Oklahoma crab.

This had me in stitches. Pow wow chow. I have to remember that one.

I wish I'd thought of it. That is the actual title of a cookbook to which Ms. Warren submitted some plagiarized recipes (including one featuring those succulent Oklahoma crabs) which she has claimed is among the "proofs" of her Native American heritage. That and family tall tales told in the warm glow of a camp fire outside the fort.
And something about cheekbones.

No problem OP. We can play that game. Tell me, what kings and queens was Brown meeting with again and which nations were their reigning over? Because, as has been proven, he didn't say this once, he said it multiple times. So, what's worse - a women hearing family stories that she's part Indian when she was a kid and running with it, or a Senator claiming he's a mover and shaker in the world of international diplomacy when it turns out he's full of BS?

Sorry, I didn't realize he was on his way to DiMaggio until after I posted.

They look very pretty all lined up and Ignored, actually. :)

Wait for the chair or the roll of dimes hidden in the trousers. Nothing is over until the final bell rings (or the curfew).
Speaking of... how you found any polling at all on MD-06? I've looked and not found anything. RCP thinks it is "Likely Dem," but IIRC when they did an analysis in WaPo of the prior voting records of the places composing the new district it was a straight up tie. (Maybe RCP is just assuming depressed GOP turnout since MD is solid blue at the top of the ticket?)

Neither have I, but I think the ballot initiatives may bring out the GOP voters. I am hoping against hope that the governor goes oh-fer.

I think it goes Dem -- it should go Dem, but the folks up your way may not want another MoCo liberal representing them in Congre$$. That's the only way it stays red.

The folks up my way think the Emancipation Proclamation "went too far."

The EP did not affect Maryland, just those rebels across the river.

Just you wait for the 5 cent plastic bag tax to hit your county.

West Virginia wasn't affected. They defected and rejoined the Union.

Re: Elections 2012: Congressional and Gubernatorial

Remember the old days when Linda McMahon had a shot at a Senate seat, 24 hours ago?

About that...

Geography 101 - Fail

Just a bit south of Point of Rocks is Leesburg, VA - the hotbed of Mosby's Confederacy. You have to go further west along the Potomac to hit WVA.
