I have been informed that Woody can only breath the air in the Upper West Side, so I stand corrected. :D

Re: Elections 2012: Congressional and Gubernatorial

I'm not saying Warren should be claiming Native American ancestory, but this story is played out. It reminds me of Aqua Buddha and that college thesis Bob McDonnell wrote 30 years ago. In both cases the Dem candidate was running on these issues right up to election day, and its like "ya got anything else for me?"

I'm all for gotcha moments that make the other person look bad. However, if Mitt Romney was running ads today about Obama saying 57 states I would think even people who were rooting for him would be horrified...not because they didn't think it was funny but because some trivial issues don't deserve to be the basis of your campaign. I'm all for Brownie keeping up with this. It makes him look like a juvenile petty idiot, sorta like his war whooping, tomahawk chopping staffers. Why exactly should we give Brown 6 more years? Because us MA residents are dying for an Itch McConnell run Senate? Because he modeled in his skivvies 30 years ago (although to be fair that seems to be a selling point for a lot of male conservatives)? So his no-talent daughter can continue her singing career instead of getting a real job and getting off his insurance which is only possible due to the ACA law he so opposes? Brown needs to answer these questions and fast because the race is trending away from him at this point.

Speaking of no talent daughters: Margaret Truman

But for Romney, some incident involving an involuntary haircut from 50 years ago is of vital interest? And don't forget his freshman report card from high school. As to Fauxcahontas, the little detail about no law license and practicing law for insurance companies may cut just a tad.

Romney hazing classmates or putting his dog on the roof is of no interest to me and I doubt Obama will bring them up in the debates.

Meanwhile, Independent candidate Rob Sobhani is running ads in my area. They are actually fairly effective ads introducing him to the voters. They only lack one slight touch. They fail to mention what he's a candidate for (turns out it's Cardin's Maryland Senate seat).

That might be something to think about adding to the next spot.

This is about freedom, this is bout 'Merica! **** yea!

"Because freedom" is just how every Republican ends every sentence. It's like a speech impediment. "My opinion (enter opinion of the day here) because freedom." "My opponent is (enter slander of the day here) because freedom." "I cheated on my wife with the rent boy because freedom."

BF is their PBUH.

What, you can't take the personal responsibility of choosing the best price for yourself? Just because someone offers a $4/hr job doesn't mean you have to take it.
If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be amusing to watch you and the other knuckle draggers jockey with each other for stupidest position to take.

Abe Lincoln in his famous debates with Sen Douglas offered up an amusing point when confronted with the idea that slavery wasn't so bad after all. His answer was "slavery has to be the only good thing that no man wishes upon himself". Can't help drawing a parallel when Flag starts talking up the virtues of working for half the minimum wage....

Everything in our concession stands would be bacon wrapped.

I think Kepler was defending Coburn when I attacked him last week.

Defend this: http://www.politico.com/blogs/burns...n-inhofe-host-fundraiser-for-todd-136995.html

Coburn is an ********.
I was saying he's not a hypocrite. I'm pretty much against everything he stands for and I personally loathe the herpa-derp way we harvests votes, but one thing he actually is is consistent. In the past the the RNC has served up a nice steaming bowl of quid pro quo for their bribers and Coburn has said "thanks but I'll pass," and if the party tries leaning on him he adds, "but first, a number" and then goes off on the floor about waste sticking his pointy little fingers in the RNC delegation's eye. (Result: they don't mess with him anymore.)

Coburn is an example of somebody I wouldn't mind having on the other side of the aisle. He doesn't leave a trail of corporate slime the way most of them do.

As soon as Republicans take control again he'll be voting for every single budget busting item on the agenda. Just like Ryan.

Re: Elections 2012: Congressional and Gubernatorial

Watched part of the Brown-Warren debate last night, and its hilarious to read some of the post debate coverage. My thoughts is that they both stuck to their themes. Brown repeatedly on being bipartisan and going back to the Native American (stupid) and corporate work (good angle) attacks on Warren. She's much more poised than I would have expected and does a good job trading jabs. The part about him not voting for McConnell for Senate Majority Leader is ludicrious. For her part she did a great job pointing out his specific votes which is always a problem when you're an incumbent. To me he has the hardest race of any sitting Senator outside of maybe Montana now that Akin has imploded in Missouri.

Case in point about the coverage. Read the Herald and his quip about "I'm not in your classroom" was some brilliant comeback ala "Senator you're no Jack Kennedy". Read the Globe and its a rehearsed line that he used 3 years ago in his debate against the AG at the time (I'm not in your courtroom). For the record he got booed after he said it, although not as bad as when he named Scalia as his favorite justice!!!!
