Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

5-4 final PB up 5-1 hold on...CC with a break away and an EA goal in wild finish

Re: Division III score updates - 2013-2014

Gustavus finally gets a win over a Wisconsin school with a late goal to beat Stevens Point 2-1.

The shocker of the week...Marian 5 St. Scholastica 2 Marian had 4 goals in the last 2:12 of the game.

Plattsburgh 4
Cortland 0

This is going to be a game where Plattsburgh could have done something really wacky like play every player out of position and still win by a huge margin.

Not a single score so to speak, but Franklin Pierce completed their home game schedule this past weekend with another sweep, this time over Sacred Heart. The ladies finished their home schedule with an undefeated record at home, sweeping every home series they played. 4 more road games left (UNE, Sacred Heart x2, St. A's). Either way, last year in their first season they finished 7-14, in their second season they are currently 17-2-1 and will likely finish 20-3-1, with the possibility of finally figuring out St. A's and finishing 21-2-1. Not a bad showing at all for a 2nd year program. Will be fun to watch next season when they are post-season eligible and have another year of experience under their belts. Might not be all that long before St. A's has some one to battle with locally.

When you say postseason eligible are you referring to the ECAC Open? Because as a D-2 school that's the only postseason eligible to them.

Franklin Pierce will compete in the ECAC East but it will not be eligible for the ECAC East Tournament.

FP is certainly having a great year and I'm looking forward or seeing how they stack up against some other ECAC east schools next year.

Pretty impressive, regardless of the number of years of existence.

How does that work and is that what the others like St. A's, Holy Cross, etc. do? Enter the ECAC Open or do they not participate in any post-season play either? I thought with the "joining the ECAC-East" officially next season it made them eligible, but apparently not.

It is pretty impressive Hux, what makes it even more cool as a Mass. resident, is the pretty decent amount of former MIAA players on their roster.
