This is just how they play after the all-star break. I don't think Leyland has ever had a winning post-ASB while with the Tigers.

Yeah, but now Don Kelly is our everyday third baseman. Our organizational depth chart at 3B is slightly worse than what we have at catcher.

Why not suicide squeeze with Guillen in the 11th? Damon is one of the fastest on the team, and as long as Guillen doesn't completely screw up the bunt the only play they would have is to go to first. With just one out that means game over.

Man, this is starting to feel Lion-esque.
48-44. 70 games to go. Where I don't think they'll go 21-49, they aren't gonna win 90 games, either. At this point, 75-80 wins may be more accurate.

Yes, because it's Magglio's fault that he's hitting over .300 and our catchers couldn't hit water if they jumped in the ocean. We've also had to replace our double play combo, Johnny Damon has been a disappointment, and now the only functional 3rd basemen in our organization is out for a month. Or that our rotation consists of an ace, two young pitchers, a pitcher that has been mediocre since his perfect game, and a roundheaded retard. Don't forget that Joel Zumaya's elbow exploded and we might have to chop his arm off, and some people still think Eddie Bonine and his 86 mph heat should be given a look in the above-mentioned rotation.
Yes, let's cut Magglio and race the Royals to 4th place. This is why I no longer listen to local sports radio. Although at times, MLB radio isn't much better.
After we get through this homestand, the schedule gets brutal. Anaheim is the worst team we play in the next 3 weeks and change, once we go on the road. I think we have 8 with the White Sox, a series with the Yankees, a series with Boston, and 2 series with Tampa. Christ, we could be under .500 by Labor Day.

I actually agree with most of what he wrote, except that I don't think they're going 10-30 over the next 40. They're not exactly looking at 25-15, either, but I don't think they're going to crash and burn that badly.
