All right. We've provided our ace with 5 runs tonight in the first 3 innings. Guys like Nate Robertson would have killed for this type of run support a couple years ago. If he can't get it done from here there's no excuse.

I thought it was always Nate's fault that the offense sucked in front of him?

It took Verlander 125 pitches just to qualify for a win. Four innings from the bullpen scares me though.

I'd worry anytime you've got to get 12 outs from the bullpen. Any bullpen.

And Brennan Boesch is now a Tiger. Guillen to the 15-day DL with a bad hammy. He is the first of the new crop of outfielders to arrive in Detroit.

I don't know if I would have made that bet. I don't want to give away a pitcher of beer that easily. :p

My guess at the start of the season would have been that Strieby would be the first OF called up.

Boesch has two hits in his debut. 3-2 Texas but the Tigers have just knocked out Harden.

Magglio drives in 2 in the top of the 9th with 2 out to tie it 4-4.

I'll give Brad Thomas an unconditional free pass for his emergency spot start, but the rest of the starting rotation has got to start giving us some innings, no ifs, ands, or buts. Verlander needed 125 pitches to get through 5 the other night, and Porcello was horrid today. You can't give up 6 in the first two innings. Up and down the rotation, with Scherzer exempted for a couple of starts, we're not getting to the 7th inning on any kind of consistent basis. It's almost May, guys. Spring training's been over for a month. Let's go.

But if Bonderman can get a QS tonight and they somehow win, a 5-6 road trip isn't all that bad. Enough to inch closer to a pitcher of beer, anyways.

Sorry. I've had serious virus issues on this computer since Friday night. I think I just got it straightened out. As in, the computer was booting up again while Cabrera was hitting one halfway to Houston.

Looks like you've filled in just fine. :D

Oh, and apparently Gump Laird is a *ing idiot on the basepaths as well as in the batters box.
