Since surprisingly strong start for Willis today. If he can do that on a semi-regular basis I will be very happy. As much criticism as Magglio has taken over the last couple seasons, it was really cool to see him get hit number 2K today.

That was the Tigers best overall win of the season. Now they have survived a couple against the Angels and go for a sweep today.

Tigers apparently are also tied with KC for top batting average in the AL.

Don't get too excited... guys like Boesch, Jackson and Sizemore could still go the way of Shelton, Nook Logan etc. Nice start, though.

He's still striking out a ton, most in the majors. If he comes in anything above .280-.290 I'd take it and run like hell. As you know, this is his first trip around the majors. There will be an adjustment made by the pitchers.
