You know what my favorite part was? When he tried to present Andrew "Trig was totally Bristol's child" Sullivan as some kind of legitimate source for Palin news. That was hilariously awesome.

Yeah, I used to read Sullivan all the time, but something happened a couple of years ago and don't anymore. That whole Trig Palin thing is really off the charts.

Listen, politicians "revise and extend" their remarks all day, every day. This is nothing new and it's too soon to determine whether Sarah deserves to be in the hall of fame or not.

Remember when Al Gore declined to run against Bush I because "I need to take care of my injured son (the drunk) and don't have time for a national campaign?" It was the merest coincidence that Poppy was at about 80% approval at the time. However, just a few short months later Gore was able to devote full time to running for VP with Clinton. Again, coincidentally, Poppy's approval ratings were in the toilet.

And I seem to have read (perhaps on the internet, which he invented, dontcha know) that Al has been caught, uh, not being entirely truthful from time to time.

I don't know how widespread Palin Derangement Syndrome is, but it's clear Andrew Sullivan and many members of the MSM are terminal.

Well, no. But the 25% or so of Republicans who seem inclined to vote for him for the nomination in 2012 might have. I hope that starts to change.


Although to be fair to Mitt, it was probably tough for him to pull himself out of the woods long enough to make an endorsement- avid hunter that he is

OK, I think I understand the reaction by Rove, Red Cloud and others to the whole Delaware thing. Previously, I'd read some stray, unrepresentative factoids here and there.

Just saw some footage on Morning Joe. Words fail.

Ironically, if that woman is elected to the U.S. Senate, it'll be perfect evidence that sexism is alive and well. Any man with that history, and with that many hilariously awful media appearances in the closet, would be DOA - I don't care which party.

So I guess the strategy is to hike up the hemline, let down the hair, grab a pair of Palin-glasses, and pray for pity when the inevitable attacks start?

I saw some footage of her being interviewed last night. Can't remember what show it was on. She closed the interview by getting in the last word, which is somewhat customary for an on air interview and isn't a big deal. But as she was speaking she kept looking down at the floor just in front of her, pausing every so often, and then starting up again. It was like she prepared a closing and had line cards on the floor. Is she too stupid to put them behind the camera and in her line of sight? *sigh*
