Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Because clearly we hate all gay people (not what you were saying but i'm just preempting the ineviatble insinuation).

Obviously this is ridiculous. I just think it's funny.

Maddow's gay? You wouldn't kid me would you?

Schadenfreude--it's what's for dinner.

BTW: Grace Stafford, Walter Lantz's wife, was the voice of Woody Woodpecker.

Lose the snark rachel. It's why your ratings are worse than gopher hockey.

Agreed, it's **** near impossible to put up with. When I've seen the show, even when I agree with her argument, I feel a little bit ill.

I think success breeds flattery -- and this is one of the uglier consequences of Stewart and Colbert's popularity. Every left wing tv pundit now thinks that s/he can "play Stewart."

My favorite was this past week when she went over a Sarah Palin commercial and Maddow was taken aback by the premise that the commercial contained, you may want to be seated for this, STOCK FOOTAGE!!!! *GASP* *faints*

On those extremely rare occasions when I see her, it seems as if she's putting on a female, alternative lifestyle, liberal imitation of William F. Buckley, jr on amateur night at the Laff Factory. And not doing it very well. All of the verbal tics and attitude, none of the content.

As someone who loved Buckley and likes Maddow, I don't think there is anything in common, or intended. Maddow has picked up some of KO's style which is too bad, because when she plays it straight (so to speak) she's a devastating critic of the wackjobs.

I watched her show when it started but it got old rather fast. All the MSNBC/Faux crap out there is pretty lame after about a weeks worth of viewings because you can tell most of them not only dont believe what they are saying, but they are as emptyheaded as that morning news show host who only knows his guests name because he read it in the prompter.

Either network should be upfront with its biases and let people decide... because you know what, they have anyways. If NBC wants to have its rules on ethics to be that way... up to them... but there shouldn't be this unbiasedness pretense. A lot of Dems have boycotted Fox and want others to do the same... its rare a conservative of any stripe shows up on Olberman... not sure if that's on Keith or conservatives. In either case if MSNBC wants to be the standard bearer network of the administration and the socialist... err... progressive movement... all the power to them. If Fox wants to (and lets face it they have) be the television face of the republicans and conservatives, why not... just don't claim to be neutral or balanced. If Fox wants to claim, like Rush Limbaugh, that "I/we are equal time"... fine... but don't claim you're striking the middle.

I should have put a smiley on the post, since I was being sarcastic. Intellectually, she's not capable of sharpening WFB's pencils. "Mr. Buckley, if you win the mayoral race in NYC, what will be your first act?" "Demand a recount."

Mr. Buckley, why won't Bobby Kennedy debate you: "Why does bologna reject the grinder?"

To me, she's insufferable, which is why I don't suffer her.

None of the talking heads on Fox or MSNBC can. Buckley's a throwback to a time when ideas mattered.

Yeah, and civility, too. When he was asked if he was interested in a position with the new Reagan administration, he replied that he was happy to edit the magazine the president read cover to cover every two weeks.

He also did a great servicve for the American people when he aired a chilling, award winning documentary about Stalin's terror famine in the Ukraine on "Firing Line" because PBS was too gutless or lefty to run it..

Just "like"? Come on, you've admitted it before...you think she's hot. :p

Oh, she's amazingly nerdy-lesbian-hot, too. :) Like Molly Wood and Ana Marie Cox. But I have a type (and apparently that type likes women.)
