Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Re: Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

Oh, she's amazingly nerdy-lesbian-hot, too. :) Like Molly Wood and Ana Marie Cox. But I have a type (and apparently that type likes women.)

I've spent this past week worried and concerned about Jesse Martin, I see now that I have more work to do.

I can find two things funny about this picture. Who can name them:

Does anyone really care? He was awesome with Dan Patrick, he has sucked ever since

Y'all say what you will about Olberman. But remember that of the bunch, he is probably the only one with college hockey announcer creds. Doesn't that count for something around here?

Nah, there's a 10' thick steel reinforced concrete wall with armed guards posted every 25 ft on the top to separate the political discussions here and the sports discussions here.

Keith worked on the reporting team for the Cornell radio station out of Lake Placid for the Miracle, and he mentions a number of Cornell hockey events in his books. I doubt if he ever did a college hockey broadcast, however. The broadcast team has not included students at any time in my memory (thank God).

One of the worst things about his tenure on MSNBC has been the evident death of Olbermann's sense of humor. That was obvious in his SportsCenter days, and it also really showed when he did interviews tangential to a number of Cornell functions. As long as you keep him away from politics he's great. Unfortunately, the minute he starts talking politics he becomes the type of thundering moron one associates with talk radio. (I have heard William Bennett has the same problem, though I find it difficult to imagine him in any situation where he isn't a clown.)

So it turns out MSNBC was (probably) only pretending to have standards, so they could "indefinitely suspend" Olbermann as a publicity stunt. I don't know if I should be disgusted or relieved.

Although he did do pbp for that annual tractor pull Cornell used to hold until Harvard suffered some fatalities and the event was permanently cancelled.

Hmmm...

Illinois Republican Mark Kirk won't be seated in the U.S. Senate in time for the start of the lame duck session of Congress this month - unlike two other newly elected senators.

The session begins Nov. 15. But state officials say the paperwork officially declaring Kirk the winner of the Senate race won't be delivered until Nov. 29.

I mean, they could at least let the guy sit down.

How soon until we hear this from the Echo Chamber?

he’s laying out his concerns that eliminating earmarks would effectively cede Congress’ spending authority to the White House

Term Limits 2.0. Same old, same old. I like how this time they aren't even letting the new Congress get seated before walking back their promises.

Even better: it's Obama's fault. :)
