Death to the Incumbent! Part Two: Now with more Death.

I'm not saying it's not suspicious...but considering many poll workers are retirees like my dad (who's worked at the local polling place for at least 10 years now and is now a site supervisor or some **** like that)..well, it wouldn't shock me if one year my dad put the ballots in his car to take to some central collection point and simply drove home on autopilot by mistake. Thankfully he hasn't done that yet, but he's also not getting any younger.

So in a country with however many thousands of polling stations across the country, it doesn't suprise me when this happens a couple times every election.

I agree in general, although when they are misplaced in a situation where a race on that ballot is extremely close, one can reasonably be a little more suspicious as to whether it was an honest mistake by an elderly poll worker or something less honest.

Ha! I get negative rep for saying the budget hasn't been balanced in awhile. Needed a good chuckle this morning. Thanks Scooby.

Looking around when I voted on Tuesday, the average age of the poll workers was probably in the low 80's or high 70's.

talking to a friend last night who's been a poll worker for about 65 years... she's giving it up because she's 94 yrs. old, those young girls that just retired from their day jobs will have to pick up the slack...

Lawrence O'Donnell is a socialist. Don't believe me? Just ask him!

In other MSNBC news, Keith Olbermann is suspended indefinitely.

LOL.

He sits on the air for 5 nights a week, 52 weeks a year and shills for the Democratic Party and nothing.

He donates money as a private citizen, and they suspend him.

I'm sorry, but if you want to act like you have "journalistic ideals", I care a hell of a lot more about what said person is saying on your "news network" than what he does when he's off the clock, so to speak.

Olbermann makes me wince whenever he speaks. I assume conservatives feel something similar when Beck or Limbaugh do their shtick.

Maybe this will drive him out of politics and back to sports where, IMHO, he's splendid.

Silly Olberman.

Only networks get to make those contributions.

When he comes back, and I don't think there's any doubt he's coming back, the persecution complex is going to be immense. Now he can totally play the martyr card as well.

You mean like "The Fairness Doctrine"? ;)

Oh great, Olbermann contributes to Raul Grijalva's campaign. Thanks a bunch. Raul's problem is he's evidently unaware that he's a member of the United States Congress and not of the National Assembly of Mexico. Calling for a boycott of his own state. He's got a good gig, so what does he care if his constituents who work in the hospitality industry are harmed by loss of business? In an earlier election, Raul suggested UN "observers" would help provide an honest outcome. You know, because well, we're like Chechnya.

We can hope. But I have to wonder if his bizarre brand of rage/hatred has tainted him forever to the sports broadcasters (remember Rush on MNF? "The media wants a black quarterback to do well" was deemed too shocking for the sports world)

Olbermann contributed to Raul Grijalva's campaign? Oh, that's rich. Grijalva's got one of the safest Democratic districts around, but he gets support from Olbermann. Of course most people on congress aren't stupid enough to call for a boycott of their own state, but unfortunately Raul is barely holding his seat in an overwhelmingly Hispanic district against a tea party candidate. Oh, it would have been great if he'd been unseated.
