Castleton is ranked because they played the schedule they played. If they played Franklin Pierces schedule...they wouldn't be ranked
You keep skipping over the other two teams. Hmmm I wonder why?

And Utica is obviously better then Plattsburgh too...So you are saying they can Forecheck and have a good cycle perhaps BUT can't score. Scoring is kind of big deal, especially when you score more than your opponents. Or perhaps you think there is a goaltending issue?
Honestly, just busting your balls. FP is a decent team. Do their games even count in the rankings?

Welcome to the past 6 hours....that is the WHOLE point. NONE of the DII teams that Norwich plays count towards their record. Hence why when you look at the NCAA Rankings its missing a bunch of wins. The It was brought up that these DII teams are "terrible", and the point was made (tho some can't grasp it) that the DII teams (minus St.Mikes) are anything but terrible. While they're not Plattsburgh, they're certainly not the bottom of the DIII world. Some people want to toss KRACH around, but when you point out that the said DII teams would all be in the top half (if not top 1/3) of KRACH, they try to find another lame excuse. When you point out that said teams have been competitive against ranked teams (might not win, but if you're a terrible team you shouldn't lose by a goal or two, let alone outshoot/outplay someone), they try to come up with another excuse. Facts are facts, 3 of the 4 DII teams are just as good as the high majority of DIII women's teams and those games SHOULD count in overall record and not be seen as "sad". If these DII teams were the Wesleyan, Williams and Smith, Colby and other "terrible" teams, I'd agree....they are FAR from that. If people can't see it, then you have to wonder their competence.
I could bring up the fact that Holy Cross is really a D1 (not DII) team that plays a DIII schedule .... would that help....?
Holy Cross and Saint Anselm would both be top 15 D3 teams, arguably pushing top 10.
Saint Anselm beat Castleton 8-0 earlier this year. Franklin Pierce would be around top 20.
Calling these three wins for Norwich a joke is sadly misguided and shows your complete lack of understanding of the East.
Game. Set. Match. Thanks for playing, leave your garbage at the door.
Yes...because once Derek says it...it is truth.
You think that at some point you would realize that half of what I post is just to get you to flame out.
And Utica is obviously better then Plattsburgh too...
I don't know, isn't the season series tied 1-1? (I really love collegehockeystats.com)
But I think that you might be making the argument that even if Plattsburgh loses the NCAA Championship, they are still the best team? Typical arrogance from a Plattsburgh fans, parents & players. Remember the time Plattsburgh chocked to Middlebury?! Lets Go OSWEGO!!!
2. Plattsburgh's record this year and the past few speaks for itself. If a team was to upset Plattsburgh and the National Title doesn't sit at the Stafford Ice Arena at years end, of course it's a disappointment. With their record vs. just about every contender, yes I'd say Plattsburgh is the best team. Was the 1980 US team better than the Soviets? That night maybe. Even Herb said "if we play them 10 times, we probably lose 9." I know its a hard concept to grasp.
3. What is chocked by the way? If Plattsburgh "choked" that year, I guess that means Middlebury wasn't that deserving to win?
4. I think it's a fair bet the majority of people would say Plattsburgh is the best team this year. The best team doesn't always win.
It does get tough when you get everyone's best effort night after night. Against Utica? Plattsburgh had an off night, Utica took it to them, and Utica deserved to win. The very next day? Plattsburgh was clearly the best team from the drop of the puck and the Cardinals won. Nothing says this season is inevitable, but Plattsburgh will be the favorite in each game they play. Therefore, if they don't win, they'll be disappointed. It's not arrogant, Call It, it's the way it is.
Do you think the Carolina Panthers and the New England Patriots agree with that last statement?
Or you're just the type when you lose your argument you resort to the "oh I was just kidding".....
Josh Norman said it yesterday himself that he still feels Carolina was the best/better team. Might not have had the best defense (ala goalie in hockey), but feels their team was better. I'm sure if you ask the Patriots from their undefeated year, they would say the same. We crown people Champions, it doesn't always mean you're the best team and or had the best team all year.

See arrogance! "Plattsburgh had an off night", thus Plattsburgh beat themselves, not Plattsburgh played really well and Utica just played above themselves.
Adrian or UWRF are going to play Plattsburgh very tough if they meet in the NCAA. I have heard Plattsburgh is very talented but soft like marshmallow. You know the ironic part is that Coach Houle isn't soft or arrogant.

The Utica goalie stole that game. Cards put 57 shots on goal and lost! The next day the same goalie was pulled in the second after letting in 5 goals.
