D3 Hockey is back!

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

I think I'm more confused now. So the final score was 1-1 not 2-1?

I don't follow D3 hockey very much, but we've talked about going to a Hamline game (my wife's alma mater) now that Darwitz is their coach. I'd liked to see a Minnesota team win the championship sometime. Probably won't be Hamline though.

Okay, thanks I get it now. It's somewhat the same reason years ago in the WCHA or maybe even before it was the WCHA they had a two game total goals series to advance and a team might pull their goalie even if they were ahead 4-0 in the second game, if they had lost the first game 5-0.

Unless a miracle happens Greenways going to end her career in the penalty box :(

Well St. Norbert takes a penalty to even it up. A minute left in OT.

Yes, that was sad to see career end that way. Could have spent the weekend on the bench. Did not get doc clearance to play until Friday before game. Shot was weak and ineffective because of shoulder separation suffered week before at Adrian. We watched her in warmups and she did not even attempt any shots. Stick handled a lot with one arm. Sad, sad, sad. Still a great career, over 100 goals in soccer and over 100 in hockey according to LFC website. Rest of LFC team needed to step up, but did not. More sad, sad, sad. In the end career ending injuries to 2.5 seniors cooked LFC's goose. SNC did some cooking too, they played well.

That's crazy. She gave it everything yesterday too. Her name was all over that broadcast.

The women's hockey schedule on the Plattsburgh website now says Noon and 3pm for the ECACW semifinals on Saturday. Surprisingly, Plattsburgh-Oswego is the late game.

I think that's smarter from a crowd standpoint. With game being at 3 you can now keep your fan base around the 7pm men's final. If the platty women played at 3, most people would be making two trips to the Stafford. Don't see too many people waiting 5 hours for the men's game.

Re: D3 Hockey is back!

Looks like nsn may be covering utica vs elmira at noon today. http://www.nsnsports.net/colleges/plattsburgh-state/

Me, I'll go watch it in person!

George Como doing play-by-play.... Love that voice!!!

3-0 Utica with a PPG 15:51 left in the second. Elmira calls timeout and is changing goaltenders. Nelson in the game for Kelsey Crawford.

Now 4-0 Utica end of the second period.
