Anyone know why?

Utica is not some cupcake team. I just checked out their record. They're good. Platty better be ready today. They always give the Cards a good game.
Utica's coach always seems to find a way to get his team to compete well with Plattsburgh and Elmira. Their win made me wonder, what other teams in the ECAC West have ever beaten or even tied Plattsburgh or Elmira. It's one thing to beat all the other teams in that league but to coach your team to victory over Plattsburgh or Elmira is really something else. Anyone know the answer?

Well the last time Plattsburgh lost to an ECAC-W team not named Elmira (or RIT) was Nov. 8, 2008 when they lost to Utica. Which is the only other time Plattsburgh has ever lost to an ECAC-W besides Elmira/RIT. (with a very quick scan of collegehockeystats.)
Elmira lost to Potsdam in an ECAC-W quarterfinal in Feb. 2012 and had a loss to Buffalo state in 2011
Lake Forest 1 Adrian 1 late in the first.
Adrian goal on the Power Play early in the game.
Lake Forest Brungus with a short handed goal on an Adrian turnover right in front of the net late 1st.
Very entertaining game so far.
Plattsburgh up 7-0 after two. Moriarty and Senese each with 2 goals. They may be without their top two scorers but they're not missing them much today.
Considering they both went off injured last week in Utica, but I was hearing rumors that neither was really that bad, I'm hoping today is just precautionary.
My view at the game: neither is in crutches today, which is a good sign in my book.
