Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Bad day...

Mville 3, EC 2. Montreal Alouttes 28, Saskatchewan Roughriders 27 on a last play field goal to win the 97th Grey Cup (Calgary, Alberta Canada)...

Congratulations to both Winners.

My roots are in Edmonton (sister lives in Stony Plain, AB) the City of Champions, home of the Eskimos...

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Yes and No...

A split at Manhattanville isn't horrible. It sounded like both games were really close.

One thing is for sure, Elmira doesnt have the offensive spark they have had in years past and I expected that losing Coady and Huntley. Plus, Cubberley kept them in or ahead in a lot of games too.

EC is transitioning and they've faced a pretty tough schedule to start out the season.

I think they were a bit overrated to start the season with the losses they had and even though they have three losses, they were all by one goal in close games.

Season is still young but Elmira is certainly behind the eight ball with the three early losses and games left against Middlebury, Amherst, RIT (2), Neumann, Manhattanville.

The nice thing is that will be battle tested on the road when it comes down to crunch time in February and March.

Wow...you can justify just about anything. You must of been on the debating team. Whatever way you care to spin it, EC is in a VERY big hole VERY early. Now every game will be pressure packed. They pretty much have to run the table to have a chance. Any more "slips" and they're toast. Just my thoughts...:)

That's the beauty of the automatic bid, everyone has a chance. Elmira will certainly be battle tested come ECAC West tournament time and they've done something no other ECAC West team has been able to do yet, win the conference tournament on away ice;)

Just my thoughts:p

Re: D3 Game Updates 2009-2010

Does the winner of the ecac west host the conference tournament?

The ECAC West regular season champion hosts the ECAC West final four.

There is a play-in round where #3 hosts #6 and #4 hosts #5 usually on like a Tuesday or Wednesday with the ECAC West final four at the #1 seed that weekend on Saturday/Sunday.

HC comes back to tie, final: 2-2.

Just caught the skaters leaving the ice from the Norwich video and heard the webcast announcers recap.

Too bad Norwich couldn't hang on. We'll see what Sunday brings for them!

If anybody could please post updates for the GAC-UST game, that would be awesome. I'm on the road to Adrian and am curious as to how that game is panning out.
